Cool early hardcore zine outta NYC, published by Misguided drummer Lyle Hysen. Not sure how many issues he did, the highest copy I’ve seen is #9. DG was also responsible for releasing what many would call the first official “New York Hardcore” record, the Heart Attack God Is Dead 7″.
This issue has short spreads on the Bad Brains and Undead, some scene news and a smattering of record reviews. The cover is great Bad Brains art by Donnel G. of Th’ Influence (another all-black early NYC band, if anyone has ANY recording by this band please contact me!) At any rate, these are virtually impossible to find now, so the $19.99 BIN is not a bad deal for a nice piece of vintage NYHC ephemera.

Where did i read a letter that Henry Garfield wrote to the editor of this zine lambasting the NY scene? Touch & Go zine maybe? My mind is blank!
Yeah it’s a thin read but I think at minimum it’s worth it for the cover art.
