SST Mobile Antenna Impedence Transformer

This little device is a real asset when adjusting the base impedence or your mobile antenna to make your solid state rig happy.

In case you didn’t know, before there was SST the record label, there was SST the ham radio company. Greg Ginn parlayed the money from the sale of these gadgets into Black Flag’s Nervous Breakdown 7″, and the rest is history.

I have no clue what this thing does, but it’s a cool artifact none the less.

I’m guessing if the seller was privy to the “other side” of SST, he probably would have mentioned it in the auction. Check his other listings, he’s a radio guy.

Sometimes I forget that was what SST originally was. Pretty awesome that it’s still a functioning piece of equipment.

I’m assuming this works like the transformer in your Marshall amplifier, it’s an ohm selector switch that adjusts voltage and current. This must be for one of those giant car antennas. Nerds.
