The Hardcore For Education auctions are finally online, and damn, it was worth the wait (at least from a record collector standpoint). Loads of gems up from goldenempirepto, and every cent (minus ebay fees and the like) goes DIRECTLY back into the school for the kids. The list of contributors is great: React Records, Revelation Records, Smorgasbord Records, … Great crew. So run out, spend a lot on these. And don’t worry, just remember, every penny you spend is going to kids. That may help ease your conscious (but not your bank account or wallet).

If you take into account the note on the end of the auctions the shipping price includes insurance, it isn’t so bad…
Hey…This is the guy running the benefit. I know the shipping seems exorbitant. I can tell you that to protect the school from the few jerks out there that would say that they never received, I had little choice but to add insurance. For whatever bloody reason, eBay no longer allows you to list insurance as a separate line item, you have to build into your “handling fee”. Depending upon the item (and whether is US or international), I set a $2.00 or $3.00 handling fee (which will just about cover the insurance cost). Otherwise, the shipping costs are auto-calculated based upon the weight. Don’t forget the school has to also buy the supplies to ship.
Stay tuned, as I am adding new items tomorrow: waiting on a surprise from another REACT! band as well as getting up some items donated by Ken Salerno as well as 7 Seconds items from my personal stuff (e.g. stuff that Kev and Steve gave me over the years). Additionally, one of the Salerno framed photos is being “enhanced” by a personal message from the subject of said photo, Dave Smalley…
