My favorite React release for test press Tuesday

The Damages “Unrequited” 7″ is my current favorite release on React! Records. I know there usual suspects for that title are bands like Get The Most, Betrayed or Mindset, but this one of my favorite. And I say current, because I know that their LP will top this 7″. Looks like incorrectthoughts has a good bunch of stuff up right now.  Make sure to take a look.  Hey, speaking of React! Records, they just had another showcase, did you go?

    Speaking of React Records, I wish my pre-order would get here already haha. I dig this 7″ a lot too, and I got their other records and they totally didn’t do it for me, I think on this EP they have kind of a Deadguy vibe going here. I once put it on at the store and my co-worker was like, what is this? Deadguy?

    I had an edit of this post that had a line like, “I think most people would say this has a Deadguy vibe, but since this doesn’t suck, I would be forced to disagree with that.” Or something.

    I went/played the Showcase, it was fantastic. Damages are one of the best bands from this city right now, cool to see this get posted up on here! Sadly they didn’t make it down to play this year.

    [...] In the previous Damages test pressing post today me and Tre had a gentleman’s disagreement if the similarity to Deadguy in the Damages EP on React! Records is a positive thing. Well, there is no accounting for taste, and just like our two different opinions there happens to also be two different test pressings of that 7″. Here the same seller incorrectthoughts (Allentown, PA…is this Double Decker??) is also offering the rejected version. Check it out, I don’t know what was wrong with it, but here it is, unloved and weeded out, just like Deadguy is to Tre, so sad, so sad. Deadguy would dig it. [...]
