I gotta wonder what statement-of-pride has for expectations on this One Step Ahead LP test press. Nemesis is always kinda hit or miss. No one is out there backstabbing their friends to complete a Visual Discrimination collection. They released a bunch of cool stuff, but being the shadow of Rev, they never really seemed to catch on to the degree all that “classic” NYHC did. Truth be told, I prefer the One Step Ahead 7″ “Remission” to this LP, but it’s still a pretty solid slab of melodic, Verbal Assault influenced* Cali Hardcore.
*And by influenced, I mean it seems like they broke into Verbal Assault’s practice space, and picked up all their unused riffs off the floor. Regardless, still a fan.
