Revenge Of Test Press Tuesday.

I must admit, I hoodwinked myself last night when I uploaded this test press from destroy_records…

I’ve actually heard this Revenge before (not to be confused with the numerous other Revenge’s there have been since, including the current hardcore band from Wmass, who are worth a listen or three), and it’s pretty Sex Pistols sounding punk rock from 1978. Nothing great, but not bad either. But this record usually goes for a lot, so I thought ” A test press? Gold mine!” and uploaded it to post later today. Then today I started to type this up, and looked closer and saw that it was actually a test press of a mid-00′s repress. Whammy! But what the hell, I’m posting it up anyways. Because it’s Test Press Tuesday.

Cum To Play…

If you’re looking for records by the Plasmatics, Dead Kennedys, Cramps, Smith, 7 Seconds, Bauhaus, Flipper or a few other punk bands check out the auctions that gutterheart1 has posted up right now.

I’m sure this is a bootleg, but its still a pretty cool record. 4 songs recorded live in Virginia in 1978.

If the price stays around where it is, this is something I would consider picking up.

Unrelated, I did a design for a Slapshot shirt that had Slapshot in the Bad Brains font with the lightning bolt under it. We had a few ideas for the back print, ‘The Not So Right Brigade’, ‘This Is How Low a Punk Can Get’, and my first choice which was ‘Cum To Pay’, but they didnt go for it. We ended up using ‘I Against You’, which isnt that great, but the front of the shirt is really cool.
