Orange stickers = orange vinyl

You never know what an WarZone on orange is going to go for. The price seems to be all over the place but slowly and steadily rising over the years. You can be pretty sure that this will go for well over what a 2nd press on black would go for. Even though they were both pressed and the same time in the same amounts of 500 each. People see that color and they cant think straight I guess. It does look dope though. Interested to see what this copy from gushingaorta will end up at.

Warzone On Orange.

It didn’t take long for the action to start up on aapjekoala’s Lower East Side Crew on orange vinyl to kick up, as we went from $1.00 to over $100 in a day. The reserve hasn’t been hit yet, and based on that BIN there’s gonna be a ways to go before it gets there…

If the price on that is a bit rich for your blood, you can always take a step down and go for this 2nd press copy. Still at a buck, with a $200 BIN:

Bananas Both Ripe And Unripe.

Our wonderful, dear, dear friend Tre is back to unload even more of his record collection. I am unaware of any pressing medical bills for Alabama, so he must just be trying to pay off the air conditioning bills from last week’s heat wave. That thing was a bitch. I bought bananas on Monday, and it was so hot they rotted before I could eat them all. The rotting process kind of went like this:

Monday:

Wednesday:

Thursday:

Friday:

*- rotting process exaggerated for purposes of color co-ordination with GB 7 inches.

2nd Press

Another Day, another hit from pterosonus courtesy of the Mark W estate. This looks like a real clean copy of the 2nd press of the Filler 7″. The 2nd press always seems to be harder to find in a super clean condition because the cover was printed on this really thin flimsy paper so when you do find one it always has rips near the tops and such. Really nice looking record. Personally I just need a green cover one. One day Ill stop being lazy and plunk down the cash for it

Lower East Sides.

Seller chainxcrew brings us a prime example of why some things are just best left alone. For your consideration he offers both a 2nd press of WarZone’s classic Lower East Side Crew ep, as well as the Victory Records re-recording of said songs on 10″. Which isn’t as terrible a re-recording as people say, but packs nowhere near the raw energy and punch of the original recordings, as well as overdoing it with the samples.

The Baddest Of Brains (Test Press Thursday Content!).

Seller xuttermoshx is bringing the heat this weekend, and I’m gonna do my best to bring all of it to you, so that you don’t have to do the work. Because it really is a full page and a half of awesome stuff. Starting of course with this bounty of Bad Brains…

…which even includes some Test Press Thursday bonus auction action!

Only dicks don’t like Black Flag!

Remember that old Kill Your Idols shirt that said ‘Only Dicks Dont Like Black Flag’? That was a great shirt! Yeah… so anyway…. lisa_honey is selling a really good looking copy of what she says is a 2nd press Nervous Breakdown 7″. I will be honest and say that I dont know enough about the old SST stuff off the top of my head to confirm that it is a 2nd press, all I can say for sure is I know its not a first press, but if you looked at the picture for a second, you know its not a first press too!

Amazing record! Much like the Negative Approach and Pay to Cum records I’m holding out for a 1st press, but realisitcly I know I’ll never have one unless I win the lottery or something. I do have a copy of this, I think its a blue & white sleeve and the dust jacket is signed by Greg Ginn which is kinda cool.

taking a Positive Approach to Negative Approach collecting!

lets be honest, well all love Negative Approach! I know there are some people out there that don’t really like Youth of Today or maybe they just can’t get into the Bad Brains, but I don’t think I’ve ever heard anyone say they didn’t like Negative Approach! I was super psyched because when I went to the Tesco Vee book signing/talk for the Touch & Go book John Brannon was there and I got him to sign the cover of my book… bonus!

Now, I may have a signed Touch & Go book, but I still don’t have an original NA 7″ yet. I’m holding out for a 1st press, but the problem is they are all out of my price range. I did recently pick up a copy of the Touch & Go reissue version and the Taang! 7″ of unreleased material and both are awesome. I actually talked to John about the cover of the reissue and he just said that they couldnt use the original because they would have gotten sued so he just had a friend redraw it. I didnt want to push my opinion on the cover (its pretty shitty!) so I just shut up, but I really wish they would have just put it in a plain black sleeve insted of what they did!

Good Morning Vinyl Noize.

This? This is a Revelation Records Together comp. No big deal, just a great way for me to kick off my 2011 posts is all, and a good way for hockeyfox to make some money.

Low start price, fair shipping… it may not have a Batman stamp, but it’s definitely a copy you should be looking to bid on. Plus the insert to this record has the Supertouch slam dunk drawing.

As Long As I’m Feeling Helpful…

…I might as well also showcase some auctions for harleyfund-2008, from whose name I am guessing is someone who at one point was endeavoring to save up for a Harley. Of course, since there was no Noize Corp in 2008, we weren’t there to point people in his direction and help him with his funding. Of course, had we been, we would have, so I’m doing so now, regardless of whether or not he’s still selling in an attempt to fund the purchase of a Harley.

Noize Corp. We’re helpful.

ENDING IN SIX HOURS!

What cheese-borger has for sale here is one of my top (non Boston Hardcore) record wants. I’m being really picky about it becuase I’m holding out for a 1st press which means I may never have one, but thats okay for now. A while ago I found out that Choke from Slapshot used to have a colored cover one… I would kill for that!

Since most of us will never have a 1st press and we will definitly not have a colored cover version, we can check out this auction from England. This is the official Touch & Go reissue of the Negative Approach 7″. In all honesty this 7″ isnt out yet, it comes out on October 12th so just head over to www.TGRec.com and order one when it comes out.

I’m really not a huge fan of the cover art redrawn like this. It was done by Craig Halloway who has done a ton of hardcore art in the last few years including the Agnostic Front ‘Warriors’ LP and the recent Negative Approach 7″ of ‘lost tracks’ on Taang! As far as I know the 7″ cover is going to be in black and white, but Craig also did a color versions that I found on his Myspace page so I put that below too. I think it looks better in color, but I would really have prefered they just left it the way it was.

2nd press different from the 1st

bobbisue1 is selling a few really nice records, some of which you will see in additional posts. I’m kind of surprised that this one ends VERY soon and has only 1 bid on it. When I started writing this it actually had no bids on it.

Awesome band that I’m bummed I didn’t get to see in Providence last week. I saw them the first them they came through, but I was sick last week and wanted to be as healthy as possible for the Gallery East show.

Yellow & Blue make Green!

Jeff Nelson is back again with more records that I would consider selling a kidney to buy…

Absolutely MINT condition copy of 3rd pressing of Minor Threat’s 1st 7″ EP, originally released in June 1981. Dischord No. 3, Dischord Records, Washington, DC. Only 1,000 copies were pressed of this 2nd pressing. Black vinyl record, pale blue labels (with wonderfully immodest slogan “Putting D.C. on the Map” under Dischord logo). Plain white paper inner sleeve, housed in thin yellow paper sleeve. Record includes folded lyric sheet.
