more Wrecking Crew

Mark McKay recently sold a clear vinyl copy and a green vinyl copy of the Wrecking Crew 7″. They were both mint & unplayed and they sold for a decent chunk of money (especially the clear one!). If your wallet wasnt big enough to scoop up either of those then maybe you should check out this classic black vinyl copy from rock4light. I’ve heard stories about Mark & Rev. Hank writing & drawing inside the covers of these so maybe theres a special message in the sleeve… only the winner will know!

You got that Sheer Terror money!?

I guess that hard times have fallen on xsheerxterrorx because he is selling his Sheer Terror records! That would be like if my eBay user name was ‘Stupid obsessive Slapshot nerd’ and I started selling off my collection of junk!

Not sure if anyones going to the show on Sunday, but Sheer Terror is playing a semi-surprise show at the Bowery Electric in NYC. Its like a mini record release show for the Spit 7″ that came out this week. There are NO advance tickets being sold and the place only holds 200 people so get there EARLY if you plan to go, the show starts at 3:00pm. There is also supposed to be a special record release sleeve of the 7″ limtited to only 40 copies so get to the merch table quick and get me one cause I cant make it to the show. Oh yeah Supertouch & Suburban Scum are playing too.

Anyway… now go bid on these records…
Asshole & Proud 7″ signed by the Rev #273 out of ???

Asshole & Proud picture 7″ # 200 out of 333

Not Waving, Drowning red vinyl 7″ # 939 out of ???

Gayrilla Biscuits

Of all the crap joke straight edge parody records out there, this is the only one that ranks as half decent in my opinion – the first Gayrilla Biscuits 7″. Important to say ‘first’ because they actually did a second one a few years later which was total crap. But this one gets it all right. As the cover hints with it’s Project X parody photo, this record contains some well played covers of straight edge classics with the lyrics all changed to homosexual based content. It’s clever and it’s fun. I’m also pretty sure that the dudes who did this are all gay themselves, which means you can and sing along to ‘Nailed in the ass’ and ‘No homosexual surrender’ without feeling that you’re supporting homophobia, which is an added bonus. There were 300 of these things total and this is actually pretty hard to find, and I’ll be interested to see what this ends up going for.

Pretty funny though that seller to_praise_prosthesis states in his description “It’s my favorite joke record of all time and something actually worth owning“… yet clearly it’s not worth owning enough for him to keep. Ah well – his loss, your gain.

I actually asked Lou Koller if he had heard of this 7″ a few years ago given that one of his band’s songs is covered (or slaughtered) on here. His response was something like “yeah, it’s great, they do ‘fags like you’, I’ve got it on my ipod“. So there you go.

Dead Fucking Last vs Down For Life

I remember getting this DFL 7″ that solutionrecordsx is selling as part of a birthday present years ago. I got a Screeching Weasel Suzanne is getting married 7″, an Operation Ivy Hectic 7″, a Nirvana Sliver 7″, a Holez/Monkeywrench split and this Dead Fucking Last single.

I honestly dont remember the last time that I listened to any of that stuff, but I do still have all of them so I guess none of them were to bad… of course I’m a pack rat so bid at your own risk!

Real American Hard Core

Heres two more from jstarnold but this time, unlike with the Maximum Penalty LPs, it looks like you cant just head to the Reaper store and grab both these singles.

Here we have 2 copies of the Madball ‘Real American Hard Core’ 7″ from Reaper Records. You get the Black/Blue mix vinyl which was limited to 1000 and the Gold vinyl limited to 200.

If you’re just interested in the music you can head over to the Reaper Records site and pick up the solid black or the solid blue vinyl versions.

Yeah I know its a bootleg…

and its actually a shitty bootleg too. Whats the point of bootlegging a record and not even trying to recreate the sleeve art? Especially a record an iconic as the Project X 7″!

illegalize_it has a a German ‘Fan Club’ version of the Project X 7″ and this one only has 4 songs on it.

The whole thing kind of makes no sense to me.

BRUTAL BOOTLEG

I’m sure most of you guys have read my story about meeting Danny Lilker at a Nuclear Assault show and mentioning how I got a Brutal Truth 7″ to him and how pissed he got because he said it was a bootleg, but if you haven’t read the story just look at any of my past posts about Brutal Truth or Nuclear Assault.

I wont bother to tell you the story again, but I will tell you that the record being sold by mysteriousorganism is the same 7″ that I had bought at Fast Forward records and mentioned to Danny which pissed him off and resulted in that story.

whats up with the * between the V & E?

I only got to see Buzzoven once but it was way back on the tour to support the SORE album. They were opening along with the Dickies and Gwar was the headliner. I saw the show at the Strand in Providence and wasnt familiar with Buzzoven at the time but they were so good I went out and bought Sore on cassette the next day. I remember it looked like they were fighting with their instruments the whole set. Throwing stuff around, spilling beer, spitting on each other and everything… as great as the Dickies and Gwar were I think Buzzoven stole the show!

I’ve been trying to track down a copy of SORE on vinyl for awhile now and havent seen one for sale. Based on a little research it looks like they sell for a decent amount when they do pop up. So consiquently we do not have a copy of Sore here, but rather the Would 7″ from Allied Recordings in 1992. I dont know any pressing info, but the opening bid is low.

*side note: If you’re a fan of Buzzoven and haven’t checked out Weedeater yet, you should.

md5875 has a bunch of other metal stuff that I will probably post from later, but be sure to check them out!

Bad Brains pencil case & Pay to Cum 7″

what tutone has here is a Bad Brains pencil case. Its the kind thats made to be put in a 3 ring binder so you can have all your pens & pencils in the same place as your loose leaf paper!

He says that he got this as a promo in a record store in the early 1990s. I think that I’ve seen this same item as part of a Bad Brains press kit/tour book. It was actually a binder with a band bio, photo, discography & tour info with the pencil case in the binder, but I guess its possible that they made Bad Brains pencil cases more than once too!

And since this is VINYL Noize, not School Supply Noize, here is a copy of the Pay to Cum 7″ from 1966session

If you havent read the story about Joe Nelsons weekend with HR do yourself a favor and go read it right now. Its up at http://doublecrosswebzine.blogspot.com/2009/12/joe-nelsons-thanksgiving-jam-with-hr.html and its awesome. It gives you a light on how crazy HR can be. Maybe the pencil cases were his idea!

Headed For The Dragon’s Lair.

I wish I had spotted xundergroundx’s auctions for these two GB 7 inches before sticking his auction for a Start Today on purple (ending in mere hours!) at the tail end of a Chain Of Strength post. Dude is legitimately heading for the dragon’s lair… whether you take that to mean he’s raiding it or that he’s gonna be filling it with the money he’s bringing in, I’ll let you decide.

It’s time to Drop The Bomb!!

hauntedtownrecords has the Vulture Rock version of the Stars & Stripes ‘Drop The Bomb’ 7″ which pops up less often than the Steve Priest version. Its still the same songs and basically the same record but it’s got a different sleeve!

This 7″ originally came out on ‘Steve Priest Fan club Records’ in 1989 on black vinyl, grey marble vinyl and blue vinyl. Then Steve Priest became (or always was part of) Vulture Rock Records and it was re-released in this full color sleeve in 1994.

I’m not a huge fan of the cover art, but I was psyched when I picked this record up a while back. I got the Steve Priest version and even had a test press of the Steve Priest version before I got this one. I dont know if they did another test press for this re-release, but if they did… I NEED ONE!

Have No Fear… Underdog is here!

mainstreetcomics of Milltown, NJ has some dutch auction so we can all get in on the deal! Most of the stuff for sale is coming related so if you’re into that head over to Comic Noize but I’m posting the one record they currently have for sale!

This is not the kind of Underdog record you’re used to seeing posted here, but I still thought it was kind of cool. Its a mint unplayed copy of “How Underdog Saved the Thanksgiving Day Parade” from 1965! As a bonus it comes with an index card signed by the creator of Underdog Watts Biggers! This would look cool framed & matted all together, but for the price its a cool 7 inch to add to your collection!
