Kill Your Idols Lot

Ebay Theory #2 – As a buyer, band lots can often be good news. Chances are that anyone who likes a band will already have half of the records in the lot, so they won’t bid. Which means that if you kinda vaguely like the band a little bit but don’t own any of their records, you might just be able to score yourself a nice bargain and get an instant collection to boot.

Here’s a good example of one such potential bargain, as xcantgobackx is selling his Kill Your Idols collection. Included here are fourteen 7″s, including a test press of the SSD tribute comp. I was never big into this band as I always associated them with people who are generally fat & old, but this lot seems like a potentially good point to start appreciating them, especially as I am now old myself.

I can’t believe one of those records has a doughnut on the cover. Amazing.

Integrity VVe Are The End Lot

It’s your lucky day today if you’re a fan of Integrity and happen to have precisely no copies of the recent(ish) ‘VVe Are The End’ 7″, because tfg352 is selling every single copy that exists all in one handy lot.

The BIN seems a bit ambitious to me, but I would imagine that this would go well over $100 as there’s a test in there, as well as a special pink vinyl with wax stamp edition numbered 000001 (of 30), and a red, of which there are only 75.

Ebay Theory #1 – as a seller, batching up stuff into lots is not the way to maximise your income. It reduces the number of potential bidders. Take me for example. I’d like one of the seven records, but I’m not buying six others I don’t want just to get it, so I’m not bidding. Granted, it qill take longer to list 7 individual items, but sure as hell they’re gonna sell for more than 7 records all in one lot. Right?
