In Test We Trust Inc.

This is like the week of Test Presses for me. I have been searching hard for some tests that I want for my own collection and found some other cool ones to share with you in the process.

rhino-claremont has a bunch of stuff up, but only a couple that interested me personally and this Dead Kennedys test was my favorite.

In God We Trust Inc. was an awesome record for me to get into the Dead Kennedys with because I came from a metal background and this record is fast and furious! Religious Vomit is my favorite track, but its great from start to finish.

I know that the ‘Dead Kennedys’ are playing in Boston in a couple of weeks and I’ve seen them with the current singer. It was good and I was glad to see them (plus I got in free!) but its just not the same. I think at this point I rather see the Jelvins play a few DK songs.

Its Jello… Its Lard… Its Both!

The guy selling the SOA 7″ is also selling a test press of the Power of Lard ep by (duh!) LARD!

Lard was the first ‘industrial’ band that I ever heard and I’ll admit it, I liked it. I could be heard rockin out ‘Jesus Built My Hotrod’ in 91 and I even saw Ministry twice back in the day. What does this have to do with Lard? Well Lard was a project led by Jello Biafra and Al Jourgensen along with 2 other members of Ministry. They put out 2 LPs and 3 EPs and then called it a day. I’m not even sure if they ever toured.

This is a test press of the first Lard EP and I really hope that I win it.
