Wartime was a time killing side project of Henry Rollins and Andrew Weiss, who has done time with the Rollins Band, Ween, Johnny Depps band ‘P’ and Greg Ginns post Black Flag band, Gone.

I dont know if its true or not, but I had heard a story about Andrew and Henry recording this ep in a bathroom at Henrys house just out of boredom. Its 5 tracks (including a Grateful Dead cover) of slightly industrial in the use of a drum machine and some sampeling, but has a kind of heavy funky side (classic early 90′s sound!) because of the bass and ends with a layer of Henrys aggitated poetic vocals over the top.

I think that Wartime started and ended with this ep and there was never a live show, but I wonder if the Rollins Band ever did any of the songs while Weiss was in the band? If the photo in the auction is actually the record you get then this is an early pressing because ‘featuring Henry Rollins’ was added under the Wartime logo for later versions.
