It’s probably not Tuesday in Australia anymore

Time is like, totally crazy. It’s already tomorrow in Australia! Wacky! Well, it’s another Champion of a record from our pal deekymutombo, this time, it’s the B9 limited single series recording of Champion live in Australia. Like Kyle states, there were only 500 pressed of this, so overall this is a pretty hard record to come by. Sadly, this does not come with the ADORABLE koala bear wearing an X Swatch cover, as the test presses came with no covers.

Benefit For Victims of the Australian Floods

It seems like there are far too many benefits lately. It’s rough out there. Gotta keep the #PMA. This time around resistrecords is putting together a slew of auctions to benefit victims of the Australian Floods. All proceeds will benefit the Premier’s Disaster Relief Appeal. As you know, Resist Records is Australian through and through. So far, they’ve received a ton of great donations from many wonderful labels, bands and individuals. Everyone from Revelation Records to Against Me to Chuck Ragan to Bridge 9. Lots of people coming to together to help the people of Queensland. We don’t ask a lot, but we’re asking now. Can you dig deep? It’s for a good cause.

bottom of the Shipwreck!

Here is what I assume is the end of the great jstarnold Shipwreck collection. We’ve seen 11 variations of the self titled 7″ and 6 variations of the Mirage 7″ so now I present to you…

No test pressing here, but a nice collection of Shipwreck ‘Abyss’ LPs. For one single price you can grab, the black/silver swirl limited to 1000 copies, the black/blue swirl version limited to 700 copies and the blue/silver swirl version limited to only 300 copies. Deathwish Inc does vinyl as good as anyone in the business if not better. All 3 of these look amazing!!

Now this one may not be that much to look at compared to the awesome Deathwish color vinyl swirls, but it will still be a nice addition to someones collection. This is a live split from Shipwreck & Carpathian on Dead Souls Records from Australia. No pressing info on this one, but since you’re bidding on the rest you may as well grab this one too!

THOUGHT CRIMINALS – Hilton Bomber 7″

Mr. B. Murphy sent this to me earlier and was like “WTF is this thing?” to which I replied, “One of the rarest Australian punk singles.” So, I guess it deserves a post here…

This is probably THE most legendary Aussie punk record [though, IMO, not the best, and also IMO, not even the best Thought Criminals record (I like the follow-up better)], and definitely the top priced. One of those classic cases of extreme rarity due to copies being thrown into the crowd at gigs, copies being trashed by various acquaintances, etc etc. One thing going for this copy in particular is that it’s EXTREMELY clean—typically these look like someone peeled out on them with a moped*, but still sell for big dollars. The grand irony of it all is that the record has a song titled “I Won’t Pay For Punk Records”.

THE VICTIMS – Television Addict 7″

The official most expensive punk collecting genre to jump into cold turkey = 1970′s Australia. It’s all great, but it’s all REALLY expensive (and rare.) Here’s my personal favorite, The Victims’ Television Addict b/w Flipped Out Over You from 1978. TV Addict sings the woes of a young man who falls victim (no pun intended) to “too much violence on the idiot box,” set to one of the catchiest punk sides of all time. Flipped Out Over You has hardcore-speed drumming that’s as fast as Pay To Cum but two years earlier.

This copy looks pretty nice, the sleeve could probably be smoothed out to look even better (my trick for this is running it through a laminating machine w/o the laminate.) BIN away.

Ps, pre Hoodoo Gurus for anyone who cares (hopefully no one.)
