Champion – Promises Kept

As I sit in my newly laundered, new to me Champion Seattle Straight Edge sweatpants (thanks Taylor! Checking out Kicked In now), I’m reminded how awesome Champion was and is. Promises Kept was the album that put them on the map. The Count Our Numbers and Come Out Swinging EPs were stellar, but Promises Kept, two years later, felt like it was groundbreaking and opened all the doors for them. Thanks to dmendivil13, you can pick up most of the entire pressing in one fell swoop (and probably save on shipping).

Polar Bear Club Acetate

A few months back, B9 had an awesome promotion. They were putting together mystery packages for people to buy. It was a flat cost and the package could contain ANYTHING from the b9 catalog (or office space, likely). Some people got cds, tshirts, records. Others got test presses and limited edition vinyl. buckywunderlick got an acetate! Not too shabby. This one is for Polar Bear Club’s Drifting Thing Remix EP. Pretty cool collector piece. This one appears to be the a-side. Still cheap too.

Lots Of Foundation

epowerfitness brings out the Foundation lots. And it makes sense. She was the main contributor to the Eightfold Path record label. This one is #002 of that label. I think there may have been 3 releases … But this is a great one. Everyone loves Foundation, for obvious reasons. Atlanta Straight Edge, represent. Hit up the band and buy some of their tees. And then grab these EPs while you are at it. There are two (almost) full lots so don’t both fighting each other over the one. Share the wealth.

And grab this Triple B Records lot too. Good shit. Grab that merch from B9 too.

Brockton Mass is the Rippinest Town!

phoenix2443 has a bunch of Bridge 9 color vinyl for sale and most of it ends pretty soon. First up here are 2 from Brocktons own, Death Before Dishonor!

You get the gold/black split vinyl limited to only 300 copies and/or the gold with black splatter vinyl limited to 700 copies. Beyond these two there were only 15 test presses so this is about as close to complete as you’re gonna get to a full collection.

We got the Ill Blood!

Heres another of the Bridge 9 ‘Warehouse Edition’ LPs. This is the No Warning ‘Ill Blood’ record on black vinyl in the special ‘Warehosue Edition’ sleeve and its numbered 105 of 141. The thing to keep in mind with these is that its not 141 black vinyl copies, its just 141 in that sceen printed sleeve. I know I have seen this Warehouse Edition LP on the Blood & Shit vinyl and I’ve heard that there are some on the Peanut Butter & Jelly vinyl as well.

It was definitly a cool way for Bridge 9 to get rid of some vinyl (some rare colors!) in a special way and sell them for original retail prices! Cudos to them…… Viva La Chris Wrenn!

Check out some of the other auctions tuchcrack has posted up. Most of them end soon!

BLUE HEART

Heres one from Washington DC’s own in_vinyl_we_trust. Attn TTD: That would look cool on a shirt!

The HAVE HEART – Songs To Scream At The Sun LP was pressed THREE times by Bridge 9 for a total of 5038 LPs on 6 different color vinyls… Thats pretty impressive!

There is sometimes some confusion with the blue vinyl of this release because it actually came out on 2 different blues, ones in the 1st press and again in the 3rd press. This one is from the FIRST press because its the solid blue. Oddly enough, the clear blue from the 3rd press is more limited (1000 copies) than this 1st press solid blue (1395 copies) but the clear blue is still available in the B9 Store and the 1st press blue is long gone!

Stumbling on Great Stuff

Over the long weekend, I passed through Maine. While walking around the Old Port, I took a few minutes to step into Bull Moose. Now, you should know, I haven’t purchased vinyl from a physical store in a real long LONG time (excepting the RSD 2010 SOIA ep for friends or family). I just haven’t been motivated to build up my vinyl collection. For the most part, I’m busy unloading it. But I stepped in to see what I could find. First off, I found a shit ton of RSD EP vinyl. Like A LOT. It was semi staggering how much they still had. Sadly, no SOIA EP, of course. But I came across a Have Heart Songs To the Scream At The Sun on blue vinyl. Very odd. This record has been out for YEARS now. How was it still languishing in a record store bin? So weird.

I also scooped a Soundgarden RSD EP for my bro. Sweet finds.

dolph321 has some other great items on ebay, so check it out. You can snag the second press of the Have Heart LP in one mailer, I bet.

Blood & Shit

Last week we had Peanut Butter & Jelly… This week we got Blod & Shit!

No Warning ‘Ill Blood’ LP on Bridge 9. This is the correct color vinyl version that they ordered from the pressing plant. They screwed up the colors on the first batch and B9 kept 50 and called them the ‘PB&J’ press. The remaining 350 color vinyl were repressed and came back in the correct colors and released as the ‘Blood & Shit’ press.

Awesome record and a cool color vinyl edition. Not super rare, but still pretty limited and desirable.
