My buddy Señor Suarez is unloading quite a doozy here, hopefully to buy little Baby Mordicus a new crib.

As with most releases on Mutha, no one really cared about this shit until it was deemed “cool” earlier this decade by the collector illuminati, and even “cooler” in recent years by snotty young HC kids with flipped up hats and irreverent attitudes. Either way, this record is pretty awesome — the musicianship is several cuts above your typical hardcore record of the time, almost like if Johnny Thunders joined a hardcore band.

Supposedly there were only 300 of these made, but they’ve been turning up quite frequently in recent years and rumors abound that Mark The Mutha is still sitting on copies.

OK, normally I’m not a fan of bootlegs getting posted on here, but this one has always cracked me up. The DON’T PAY HORROR PRICES FOR THIS BOOT!!!!!! disclaimer on the front has turned the term “horror prices” into standard collecting lingo between me and a few friends, referring to overpriced records (which in most cases you had to buy regardless). “Man, Stoopid Records wanted horror prices for that Sex Dogee 7″, but I just had to buy it since it was mint with insert!”

As for this record… test press of a bootleg = kinda interesting but kinda unnecessary, but at the same time this one’s sort of a cult classic so I’d consider buying it. The mystique of this 7″ kind of wore off when it was discovered that the tapes were sped up for the original pressing (whether intentional or not), but the tunes are still pretty sick. And for all of you Koro completists, this is the only way to get this record on black, since the regular boot copies were on red marble and green marble.
