Another baller status platter that matters from record_lover, and pretty much the best hardcore record ever in my humble opinion. The price on these things has been freakin skyrocketing lately, and unfortunately this one doesn’t show any signs of going cheap.

Funny thing most people don’t know about this record is that the black vinyl was actually pressed first, but the clear was released to the public first (due to a pressing plant screw-up). So technically clear is the second press, but no one really cares because it’s definitely the cooler looking version.

THE FIX – Vengeance

I don’t have too much to say about this record other than it’s one of the greatest and rarest hardcore records of all time, and hopefully someday I’ll actually own a copy. 200 made, rumors of copies being left on a heater and melted, and the rest fell into the vortex via mailorder and touring back in ’81. The opening bars of Vengeance send a chill down my spine every time I hear it, and In This Town ain’t no slouch either.

So sit back and watch the bloodbath unfold, or man up and hit the buy it now button.

AGENT ORANGE – Bloodstains 7″

A bona fide best-in-genre release, here’s Agent Orange’s classic debut single from 1979. SoCal beach punk doesn’t get much better than this, and if you like punk music in any slightest way, shape or form, you should be familiar with the title track.

Though “Bloodstains” also appears on their Living In Darkness 12″, this version is exclusive to this release, with a much rawer and tougher recording with a great gritty guitar tone. The tunes on the flip, “America” and “Bored Of You” are good too but not as monumental as the A-side. As far as I know these two B-side songs have never been released elsewhere, though this version of “Bloodstains” was reissued on one of those Rhino Faster & Louder compilations in the 90′s (which were great pre-internet intros to punk/hc.)

The $100 opening bid could work out nicely for someone to score this at a good price, and the seller is very reliable as I’ve dealt with him many times buying and selling.
