Bl’ast – Manic Ride Test Press

Italian seller hard-to-forget has this Bl’ast test press from SST records. Take The Manic Ride was the last LP released by these guys in ’89. It has a very fair opening bid of $10 so it would be worth keeping an eye on. Some definitely cool Black Flag/Black Sabbath bits here. I always thought it was cool that some of these guys stuck with music through the years. The seller is most commonly known for the shirts that he makes on his own and sells on ebay. In other words, he is an unapologetic bootleg seller. He’s got very good positive feedback here, so if you are in any way interested in this artifact you should feel comfortable buying this from a person claiming to be from the “land of the lost”.

Having come across this, I can’t help but think of Manic Ride Records/Dead Alive records. Nor can I for the life of me recall whatever happened there. It was the best online distro during the mid 2k era. My highlight was grabbing an official Underdog shirt from there.

B’last Test

I know its not tuesday but whatevers I gonna post a test press anyways. I always loved the shirt of this graphic as well but would never wear as some people might think its a religious shirt and I dont want to be associated with that crowd. The seller ->adversewind “Very rare, less than 20 made according to Chuck Dukowski.” I dont know if he got the info direct from Chuck himself or heard it on the internet somewhere. If thats important to you then you might wanna ask away. Itll be interesting to see what this goes for. Price is not so bad with a few days left

Power Of Expression orig

My friend and record fair cohort Mr. Robert Base has a nice little batch of LPs up right now, lots of good staple punk/hardcore LPs.

Here’s a nice copy of the first Bl’ast LP in its original form on Wishingwell, before SST repressed it. This record would make a great companion piece to either of the COC albums I posted below, or to any of the Black Flag LPs this seller also has listed.

What’s in the sleeve driving up the price?

A gram of coke actually. That is the only way I can rationalize why this is going for $51 dollars at the time of me posting. It must be good coke too, probably close to pure. Last time I checked you could buy a gram of cut up blast for $15 from the guy with the Desert-Storm hat at the package store down the street.

I digress, $51 for this rererepress on yelow vinyl. These bidders must really need a fix.

*BONUS*

I had a cousin in Desert-Storm. He brought me home a tabasco sauce bottle full of sand. Thanks idiot, what I am gonna do with a bottle of sand?

B’last In My Blood test press

Looks like Chuck Dukowski is following Jeff Nelsons lead on selling stuff on ebay. Much like Jeff’s auctions I see this going for way more than it normally would due to the source. I think that this record would already be fetching a large amount from anyone else so it’ll be interesting to see what mind numbing price this will reach. I dont have any version of this record but I dont think I could afford to start with this one. I did at one time have a fully autographed copy of “power of expression” but I think I traded it away for stupid shit. ah youth…

Side note-how fucking cool is that Santa Cruz ad/poster with B’last?
