SUPERBOWL SUNDAY: I am the enemy of all you hold dear

If you lived in Boston and were into hardcore for any length of time during the past decade, chances are you saw a Blood for Blood show. delapasion is selling an early BFB era Enemy 7″ (1997), and while I prefer the Soulless EP, this is a close second.

BLOOD FOR BLOOD test press

Im not exactly sure what “wrong” B4B songs are on this test press from repjack111 but i would be interested to find out. Maybe Victory sent a copy of Revenge on Society to the pressing plant by mistake instead of Spit My Last Breath. Who knows. According to HYE though there are only 2 of these in existence. I beg to differ but i wont bust anyones bubble.

This is a choice lot

Though the photo looks a little shot, 23percent goes out of his way to describe each record’s condition. Points for that. Lots here for a $35 opening bid. We got 7″s from AF, Blood For Blood, Sick Of It All, Integrity, Hatebreed, various Rick Ta Life bands, and more! Check out the full list after the break. Also, this is a 1 day auction, so act quick!!!

TPT BFB Lot.

Test Press Tuesday is probably going to go the same way Metal Monday did yesterday, which is to say slow and probably underwhelming. I apologize in advance. Hopefully the presence of 6 other versions of Spit My Last Breath to go with the test press in this Blood For Blood lot from monstersintheattic will help soothe some of the blow…

Test Press Thursday: Blood For Blood.

I promised a Test Press Thursday today, and seller repjack111 is happy to assist me by posting up these two Blood For Blood test presses: one for Outlaw Anthems, and one for the Victory pressing of Spit My Last Breath.

Sad to say, I didn’t make it to the BFB show in Worcester (aka Metalfest) last month as I’d planned. Definitely interested in seeing what it’s like with Billy from Biohazard and Craig from Only Living Witness replacing Rob. I’ve seen some youtube footage, but really, can you really judge from grainy ass youtube footage? I think not.

Bonus auction: an Outlaw Anthems on blue!

SOULLESS.

It’s funny, I almost always forget that the Blood For Blood “Soulless” ep exists. I think it’s because there were versions of these songs on Spit My Last Breath, and that’s the record I had as a teenager (cd, if you want to get technical), so that’s what I associate them with. Which is my loss; the version of Piss All Over Your Hopes And Dreams on this is hard as hell. Seller incorrectthoughts didn’t forget about it’s existence though…

I’ll be seeing the “new” Blood For Blood line up, which replaces White Trash Rob with the Rob ok’d pairing of Billy from Biohazard and Craig from Only Living Witness (!), this weekend at Metalfest. I look forward to dying at the hands of some of my scarier friends when they start having Rat flashbacks… I AM NOT AN ALLSTON HIPSTER SIR PLEASE DO NOT THROW ME OVER THE BAR OH OK GO AHEAD.

Somebodys getting married… today!

Last saturday I posted an LP of wedding marches because I had a wedding to go to… well this Saturday I have another wedding to go to, but I know the guy getting married this week much better than I knew anyone at last weeks wedding.

My friend Monty, who makes lots of great posts you should check out over at www.GamerNoize.com is getting married and to celebrated it I wanted to post something from one of his favorite bands. In the process of searching I was lucky enough to find this East vs. West comp 7″ being sold by monaghan419.

Not only does it have a Blood for Blood song on it (one of Montys favorite bands), but its also got a track from The Trouble (another of his favorites!). If this thing had Candy Man or Jason Voorhies on the cover I would have to buy it for him becuase it would perfectly fit his personality! The comp also has 2 tracks representing ‘The West’ from Powerhouse & Pressure Point.

Also even though Monty is not a huge fan of Sheer Terror (tsk tsk tsk) I wanted something at least a little symbolic of a wedding for this post so here is an old promo poster for the ‘Old New Borrowed Blue’ album.

Buddha & The Boys…

Buddha & The Boys played a show last night (Sunday) in Boston that I really wanted to go to and I just couldnt stay out that late with having to work even earlier than usual on Monday. The line up in addition to Buddha was Cheech, Bulldog Courage (awesome NYHC!), Refuse Resist (awesome BHC), Enemy Within, Yesterday’s Hero and the last minute addition of Panzerbastard!! Having a job gets in the way of everything fun!!

Anyway, last time I posted a Blood for Blood test press (might have been this same one) there was a lot of debate about which BFB records are the best. As much as I like them all I still think that Outlaw Anthems & Livin in Exile are my favorites. Here we have a Livin in Exile test press which is suposed to be of only 6 copies. Got a couple of days left and no bids, but I think the minimum bid is right around where it sold last time. Have to wait and see where it goes!

Just for the sake of giving you 2 BFB records for the price of one post here is a copy of the Soulless 7″ incase you dont have one!

Blood For Blood Defeats!

The Metallispy from western mass has a bunch of DVDs up for sale and this test press of the ‘Livin in Exile’ 10″. I might even bid on this myself!

I’m never sure which BFB record is my favorite because its a close race between ‘Exile’ and ‘Outlaw Anthems’. I think whichever one I’ve listened to most recently is the one I like best! If you’re in Europe make sure you check them out on the Persistence Tour with Sick of it All and Sepultura in December!

BFB = Blood for Biohazard?

I’m sure by now you guys have heard about the Blood for Blood reunion tour planned for December of this year in Europe with Sick of it All and more bands to be anounced. If you havent check out your favorite HC Message Board (I recomeded the Thorp Records board) for all the dirt.

This is a Blood for Blood record with their original guitar player Rob Lind, and was released in 1996 by Devour Records, long before they had Billy from Biohazard playing with them.

You may notice that 603miztayk has zero feedback. Usually I am skeptical of sellers with low/no feedback, but this is actually a friend of mine and I doubt there will be any issues if you win this record. Also check his other auctions for more cool stuff coming soon and maybe you can get a good deal if other people are afraid of the low feedback rating.

Rob Lind Is Not Dead!

vinyl-n-more13 has an eBay store chock full of patches, stickers and some vinyl. I dont know how limited it is or anything like that, but its such a great record everyone should own it!

Rob Lind is by far one of my favorite song writers. He writes amazing songs no matter what genre he’s doing! Blood for Blood was great! Sinners & Saints was great! Ramallah was great! I really hope that Rob puts some more music, no matter what style, eventually. I know that Brit from The Unloved was working on a documentary about Rob for a college project, but I dont know if there is any plan for it to be shown to the public or not. Based on the little that I know I’m sure Rob has some amazing (good and bad) stories to tell!

Kill A Celebrity on blue vinyl from Reality/IScream Records. I know that it also came out on white vinyl, but I cant find any pressing info.
