Not sure what Dave & Tre are up to today. Normally I’d log on at this time to find that each one of them would have knocked out about 4 posts already. Ah well. I guess it’s up to me today. Anyway, in their honour I thought I’d post up a little known rarity from 1998. Here we have vinylanswers bringing us the first vinyl release by Blacklisted from back when they were a stoner rock band. This was also the first release from Tre’s label ‘King Fetus Records’, which is what he called the label before he sobered up and changed it to Deathwish Inc. No doubt Tre & Dave would have no memory of any of this stuff as they were most likely stoned off their faces all the time back then.

Seller xxxevilxxx666 has one of the mid-90′s vinyl pressings of the Murphy’s Law Bong Blast demo.

Like Cooch said the last time we saw one of these, if anyone is looking to sell or trade an original demo of this, I’d love to hear about it. Unlike Cooch, however, I just want to hear what you ended up getting for it, cuz I’m certain it’ll be too rich for my blood.

first hardcore/punk show I ever saw was Murphy’s Law, Low Meato & The Wurst at the Living Room in Providence, RI. It wasnt the best show I’ve ever seen, but I’ll never forget it and Murphy’s Law has been one of my favorite bands ever since!

I believe that Bong Blast was the name of the original ML demo on ‘Spliff Records’ in 1983, but I remember seeing copies of this on LP and CD in the late 90′s when I worked at Newbury Comics so I dont know if this is a reissue of that demo or just an old live recording. Anyone know for sure?

Either way its a good quality live recording of some classic NYHC!
