Have you ever scrolled too quickly through ebay only to hurriedly jump back up because you thought you saw a holy grail? Happened to me with this Judge record being sold by kfcforlife. The picture sucked me (just like I’m hoping the title of this blog did …). Of course, it’s the 10″ bootleg. Surprised he didn’t mention what number it was … LOL.

This record really gets around. There are hundreds if not a thousand of these. But for some reason, people always bid like madmen on them. I don’t get it. vintagemij has one up now. I’m sure it’ll get zany. Don’t know why. There is nothing more disrespectful than a 10″ bootleg. That’s just sticking it to Revelation Records.
When Saves The Day hit the scene in the late 90s, they were a hardcore band. That’s right. You heard me. A hardcore band. They released an album on EVR, a hardcore label. They had roots in NJHC. And as such, when they released their original demo, it was on a shitty cassette tape. It was likely recorded on a shitty boombox in a shitty apartment. Or at least, an apartment with at least two too many people in it. Which leads me to this auction from surgeoheatal. WTF? There is no chance this is a legit release. Even the cover looks like a terrible photocopy. Yuck.
If you want the legit version, grab the demo tape from tracemyeyes.
I’m not 100% what the deal with this Last Rights 7″ is. I’m inclined to think that its just a copy of the bootleg done by ‘God is the Devil Records’ on lime green vinyl in a photocopy of the Taang! Hitler sleeve. The reason I’m not sure is because ‘God is the Devil’ actually did a Hitler sleeve variant in their pressing, but it was limited to 60 copies and the vinyl was a green with color splatter. I guess maybe this was an extra Hitler sleeve they made after they ran out of the splatter vinyl.
Either way, its definitly a bootleg, but if you dont have an original 7″ or the reissue 12″ then its worth grabbing. These have sold in a range from $10 to well over $100 so I’m curious to see where this one ends. I guess it depends on what the bidders actually think it is.

xsheerxterrorx has a TON of great records up right now. Lots of late 80s, youth crew vinyl. Plenty of great items. Most are legit. Sadly, on this PX EP, he’s misinformed. This EP is not legit. Here’s his description, “PROJECT X 7 OG! rare….not written on! 500 on black. cant believe i am parting with this! schism recs. 87!” The first picture looks great for “not written on.” Sadly, the second picture tells it all. Silver labels = bootleg. The OG EPs have white labels with either a stamp or something quirky written with a sharpie. Oh well, skip this one, check the rest instead.

An LP collection of various Nirvana tracks, some recorded on Saturday Night Live doesnt sound that great, but the cartoon of Kurt Cobain, John Belushi and Andy Kaufman makes the LP worth the BIN price to me!
Time Capsule Comics/Records just had their HUGE yearly sale where vinyl was 50% off, but they still have some gems up on eBay.
I will admit that this one consuses me a little. I know the history of the Love Buzz 7″ and I know that there are few un-numbered ones, but it seems like if this was legit it would be bid up higher by now.
The sellers description says…. This 7″ comes from a large recently acquired collection that’s chock full of rare and nearly impossible to find punk and grunge records. This particular 7″ is Nirvana Love Buzz/Big Cheese on Sub pop, this is an unnumbered version with the #_/1000. 7″ appears to be unplayed and sleeve along shows some general wear. Sub Pop 1988.
Guess we will have to wait and see how high it goes!

I got it when I was working at a small record store that my mom & dad owned. Really I just hung out a lot and they paid me a little, but it was awesome! There was a guy that came in all the time with different bootlegs and import vinyl and I would trade with him. When he came in with this Metallica record I knew I needed it just by the album cover!

Now obviously I know that the cover art is from the Bones Brigade, but does anyone know what the name of the record, CEE FOUR, means?
Yeah I know its a bootleg and I know that finger_walking isnt really selling anything else of much interest, but I really liked that its called “The Kids Had Their Say”. All though since its a live 7″ shouldnt it be called “The Kids Having Their Say”?
abanalladhi only has a feedback rating of 2 and is located in Indonesia, but they do have a buch of auctions up and everyone has to start with zero feedback at somepoint so be aware, but possibly take a chance on this live Biohazard bootleg LP.
I dont think I’ve ever seen this record before, but I do like the how silly the cover art is. It looks like its a photocopy of the original self titled LP with the Agnostic Front boots dropped in and a tag line of “New York City Hate Core”. The back of the sleeve says its Live at Hengelo, Netherlands in 1990 and that the LP is a limited edition of 1000.
The opening bid seems a little high to me, but if I was a Biohazard collector I would want this LP so maybe you do too!
I know that you’ve all seen a lot of Misfits & Samhain this week and I know I already posted my favorite Samhain LP (November-Coming-Fire) and the Samhain box set, but I still wanted to represent my favorite Samhain cover art, Initium.
I’m 99% sure that this Initium picture disc exc_rec’s has is a bootleg. It doesnt list any label, the colors are kind of weird on it, its from Germany and he says its a ‘numbered copy’. He also has some other records for sale that I’m pretty sure are boots, the thing I found odd was I couldnt even find this picture disc on the Misfits Central discography.
So either way, here is a picture disc version of my favorite Samhain LP cover. If you dont want it, you can buy it and send it to me!
eBay user name wolfsblood718 is actually Mike from the NYHC band Inhuman. Not only is in in Inhuman, but he also owns an awesome comic book shop in NY called the Brooklyn monster Factory that you should check out at www.myspace.com/brooklynmonsterfactory because Mikes a cool guy that really supports the scene!
Anyway, the enconomy sucks so Mike is selling off some stuff including a cool Merauder work shirt & these two Glenn Danzig related bootlegs. Nothing fancy, but you can score them at a good price as you gear up for the full on Misfits/Samhain assault on Halloween!
Seller bred2hate has a ton of auctions going, mostly skinhead and oi related, and while I like a some of that stuff, I don’t really know a lot about most of what I see listed. As such, there is really only one thing that jumps out at me:
Up for bids is a used 7″ by Warzone called Lower East Side Crew. Black Vinyl. Test Pressing. Super rare. These were limited to 200, and this is the test press. You probably won’t ever see a test pressing of this again as I think only 3 or 4 were made.
He doesn’t specify, but it should be obvious that this is the test pressing of a bootleg; there are way more of the LES Crew record than 200, and you can easily see that this doesn’t match up to anything on Rev’s pressing info page. Just something to consider if you’re thinking about biting on his high start bid. Meanwhile, monstermind has a similarly generically covered piece of NYHC vinyl up for grabs…
Now this may look just as bootalicious as the previous record, but looks can be deceiving: this one comes with an actual pedigree:
This 7″ was originally released in 1983 only in 1,000 copies which makes this ultra rare. However, this copy is from 1989. It was officially repressed on a limited RED vinyl and white cover. Only 500 copies were pressed. This repress was made to raise some money for their singer Roger who had seriously got hurt at a show. Since he didn’t have health insurance and had to pay the operation himself, these records were pressed to help him out financially.
I think we know which one of these is the better pick up.
and its actually a shitty bootleg too. Whats the point of bootlegging a record and not even trying to recreate the sleeve art? Especially a record an iconic as the Project X 7″!
illegalize_it has a a German ‘Fan Club’ version of the Project X 7″ and this one only has 4 songs on it.
The whole thing kind of makes no sense to me.

Judge – ‘Vivo En WNYU’ 7″, the seller says that translates to ‘Live on WNYU’. He also admits this is a bootleg (which it clearly is) but says its rare.
Prophecy Records tribute to Judge compilation 7″ featuring Empire Falls, Pitboss 2000, Sacto Hoods and a few others doing their version of some Judge classics on white vinyl.
