and Think. thedoomer has what was the hot seller at that year’s Posi # fest. This was a creative use of black vinyl. White sleeves and a sticker. Sold like hotcakes. Now you can pretend like you were there.

Skank it the fuck up
punk226 has something you don’t see everyday. This is a double record auction including both a picture disc LP, and a split colored vinyl 10″. The Mighty Mighty Bosstones may have long since faded away (although they recently put out another new record), there are probably many guys out there in their 30s or 40s that remember some sick shows. My first show ever was a Bosstones show at Toad’s Place in New Haven. The opening bands were Blind Justice and Black Train Jack. Sick pit that night.
Speaking of Rage of Discipline on gold…
Were we just talking about Rage of Discipline on gold? I could have sworn we were. Well anyway, it looks like the1234gorecordsstore is selling one. Only a day or so left, and it’s only going for $15.
TPT: BREAKIN THE LAW
When Joe Hawk fucked up his hand, there was a benefit show to help him out. He also wrote a very nice letter and put it into the insert of this test press to thank people that helped him out. Joe Hawk is a legit dude. If you want to pretend to be stab_and_kill and own his personalized test press, be my guest.
Remember Right Brigade?
It looks like xdiscontentx just put up a TON of records. Well actually just 16 of them, but it sure looks like a lot. All from the early 2000s. Just like this record.
Yellow Vinyl. This record was all the rage back then. Deservedly so. And stuff.
Members of A Poor Excuse went on to be in For The Worse.
TPT: Songs To Scream At The Sun test via Pat Flynn
Since he posted The Things We Carry tests obviously Pat Flynn is going to be selling this Songs To Scream At The Sun test too. Up for less than a day and its up to $200. Im putting money on it hitting the $600 mark easily. Be careful though, he has no feedback so he might rip you off!
Shaved For Battle
I had a copy of this Stars & Stripes LP a while back. I traded it over to Clevo. Seriously, do you know anyone as patriotic as Clevo? Unlikely. He certainly deserved the LP even if I can’t recall how the trade worked out. The BIN from taylorkc isn’t too bad so maybe I’ll restock my collection with this one.
38 Calumet RIP … NOT
38 Calumet in Mission Hill is a Boston hardcore landmark. Lots of dudes slept on those floors, lived there, practiced there, … Everyone from Ten Yard Fight, In My Eyes, Piebald, Bridge 9 Records, … Last night, a 5 alarm fire ripped through the neighborhood. It was rumored that 38 was one of the buildings that went up. This was not the case. The homes across the street went up. It was pretty nasty, but only one person was reported injured, thankfully. Have a look.

Put on some Jejune and be glad it’s still there.
Both Demos
How many bands ever released TWO demos? Two demos is a pretty good way to go. Think about it for a minute. How often does a band release a demo and then start putting out LPs? It happens. And usually, those LPS would have made better EPs. And if your LP would make a better EP, might as well stick with a solid tape. Stop And Think did two LPs and busted out. They definitely went out on a high note. It’s a solid heritage of two demos they followed. Think Raw Deal. Think Breakdown. Solid. What other bands released multiple demos?
Please note: gblairkemp is relisting this due to issues with the previous winner. Booo. I hate non-paying bidders.

Nothing to Hide
I just got through watching the video of the last In My Eyes show that just got put up on the internet. I never got to see this band play, which is a shame, as I would quite possibly rate them as my favourite straight edge band of all time. Anyway, off the back of watching the video, I thought I’d look and see if there were any cool IME records on eBay. Well, no, it would appear not. Not right now. But I did discover that their 2nd LP is completely sold out at RevHQ these days, so if you want one then ebay seems like your only option. Here’s a sealed copy courtesy of recordgraveyard.
This looks familiar
I forget what i was even searching for on ebay when i saw this from spinstop. Lets hear it for stock photo usage. I wonder if the cover of Kill For Christ is from a Gospel record also?
2/3 of the XCLAIM Records catalog
Heres a chance to grab 4 of the 6 Xclaim releases all at once (im not counting that Cops And Robbers 7″). Seller punkfreak32 is missing the two best releases of course but you can worry about the big guns later.
Congratulations to Mr. & Mrs. Edward Lalli
Generally when I have a wedding to go to I’m pretty bummed out. It means getting ‘dressed up’ (which I hate), it usually means crappy food and overpriced sodas, shitty music and dancing (which I hate) and seeing a bunch of people that either I dont know or dont care about. The wedding I went to over the weekend was a completly different story! I did have to ‘dress up’, but for me that means khaki cargo pants and a polo style shirt with newish sneakers, but the rest of the day was awesome.
It was the wedding of Mr. Ed Lalli of the Welch Boys & formerly of Slapshot & Grudgeholder and his lovely wife Heather Parsons. The wedding was on a boat with the ceremony on the roof deck and then dinner & reception in the dining area as we cruised Boston harbor. Not only are Ed & Heather great people, but there were lots of cool people there too. I sat with Mark McKay & his wife, Chris Lauria & his wife, Steve Risteen & his wife and the always lovely Reverend Hank (Wake up Hank, we’re on the line!). Also in attendence were all the Welch Boys, Shawn from Refuse Resist and a few other notables. Music included lots of standards, but with some Ramones & the Ice Cube/Little Jon Bad Brains remix thrown in for good measure. The wedding cake was shaped like an anatomically correct human heart, there were mad-libs for everyone to fill out, cupcakes & lollipops and at the ‘after party’ there was an ice luge shaped like a giant skull all cared out of ice!
I want to give a huge thank you and lots of luck to Heather & Ed. They are both great people who were married on the 10th anniversary of their first date. I wish them all the best and thanks for inviting me to share in the fun!
Now since this blog is about records and now weddings, heres the Ed Lalli discography (minus the Grudgeholder CD)…
DYS – “Wolfpack” TPT
The Taang! store is selling a test of DYS – “Wolfpack”, for a BIN of $300 /w free shipping. Now since it’s “Wolfpack” and on Taang!, don’t get it confused with “Brotherhood” on XClaim, but it’s still pretty cool, right? So cool, that they don’t even think they need to provide a picture for it or a decent description. Questions might need to be asked…
DiVE – Force Five
DIVE seems to be a fav here at VNZ. Wasn’t someone looking for this other Dive 7″? Well hopefully this helps, and look it’s only $3. Props to perkororecords, good label, with bands more influential than most people in the US realize (ask Converge).
