Pretty cool little package here. This is a recent reissue of one of the first and best Brazilian hardcore records—Olho Seco’s Botas Fuzis & Capacetes ep from 1983—packaged with a bunch of extra goodies from the label. I have a huge soft spot for South American hardcore, it has a raw urgency to it that really pushes it over the top compared to so many other bands. This band is no exception, blasting out three tracks of Discharge/Disorder no-fi hardcore that rival even the best of the Scandi dis-imitators.
So you get the reissued ep on gold vinyl (the record is that little yellow guy directly to the left of the tote handle), a shirt and matching record tote, and a ton of printed matter. It’s cool that the label went out of its way to make a cool package, instead of just rehashing the 7″ on its own. If you haven’t heard the record before, I highly suggest checking it out. It should be pretty easy to find on myspace or a blog search.
