Tags Matching: British Invasion

I found this record while looking for a copy of ‘My Generation’ for another post, but I am a big fan of The Who. I’m way to young to have seen them with Keith Moon, but I did get to see them at Foxboro Stadium on the Tommy Tour sometime in the mid-80′s. I went with my dad and one of his friends and it was awesome! Now I can admit that part of my liking The Who is because my dad likes them a lot, but they got some really great songs!

Now, all that in conjunction with my collector mentality is why I would really like to have this record that recordmecca is selling.

This is a copy of the first/only single put out by THE HIGH NUMBERS which was the original name of The Who from 1964 on Fontana Records. Its 2 songs, Zoot Suit and I’m the Face which both later ended up on the soundtrack to the 1979 movie Quadrophenia based on an album by the Who of the same name.

I really have no idea how many of these were pressed, but I cant imagine that there are to many still around and its a pretty cool piece of rock & roll history!
