I get really nervous when looking to buy Misfits vinyl online. There have been so many bootlegs over the years, (some of them ridiculously close to originals) that it is unwise to ever bid on one without doing a lot of homework first. Things get worse when sellers either outright don’t know what they are selling is fake or are trying to rip you the fuck right off. That’s why we’re here. To make your life better.

It looks like seller sheene7uk has a legit, straight up real 2nd press of Bullet on red vinyl up for bids.

The description looks good, the back cover is right, the matrix numbers are correct, the labels are right and there are enough bids on it that others have checked it out and are confident of its authenticity too.

Bullet.

If there’s a reason that seller anchar’s first press Bullet single is sitting at a mere 9.99 with under 2 days to go, I sure can’t see it. It’s a B grade condition record according to the seller, and it only started yesterday, but even so, you’d still think there’d be way more action than there has been so far. Does the 3 day auction format mean this just might fall through the cracks? Have we just blown up someone’s spot? Only time will tell. About 48 hours worth of time, to be precise.

I have to be honest, much as I appreciate Ken and Jenn’s strategy for financing their home, I have to say, if I had the collection that they’re selling off? I’d stay sharing my studio with my girl and my cat for the rest of our lives. Three versions of Bullet, including the “third” pressing (actually leftover first pressing vinyl with the second press sleeve, sold when Glenn ran out of the red vinyl)? FML. And has anyone noticed how almost every thing they own is signed by one Misfits member or another?
