It was around the time that this record came out that I got my first X Swatch. I remember being SO excited and so into it. I still have it, but it doesnt really work and its kind of busted up. Actually I have 4 of them that are all kind of busted up in one way or another. I should try to sell them all for enough money to buy one good one again, but I’m lazy! I do have my massive X Swatch maxi on the wall in my living room though!

Anyway, by the time this record came out I had probably been aware of Straight Edge for almost 10 years (been drug & alcohol free my whole life), but when I heard the Path of Resistance and saw all the ubber Straight Edge imagery I was hooked and became like Captain Straight Edge!

I’m still Straight Edge and I’m pretty sure I will be for the rest of my life at this point, but there hasn’t been something that really gave me that kick in the ass the way that this record did, not in awhile at least.
