Youth of Today – Can’t Close My Bank Account

With all the crazy rare versions of this record that have been on ebay lately, this one might be the answer for anyone not willing to throw down two months of car payments for orange vinyl and a batman stamp, or a month’s gas bill for red lettering.

artpunkfool has a very nice looking 2nd press (or 4th press in Dobek’s world) of the Can’t Close My Eyes 7″ on Positive Force. This one has the black and white lettering on the cover and blue labels.
It’s a real win/win situation, you get the original sound on the original format but without the crazy collector costs of the first or fourth pressing.

There is still a lot of time left on this one. Plenty for you to decide if you can make your bill payments and score a real gem!

More YOT

Some more Youth of Today records for sale from xbestoneyetx, and you’ll excuse me for being brief but I’m trying to figure out my taxes. God, I hate taxes. Not paying them so much as figuring them out at the end of the year… anyways, here you go.

Batman Stamp.

First things first: a hearty shout out right back at you, barfight! And secondly, thanks for pointing out something that, so far as I know, no seller has ever noticed in all the times we’ve seen this version of the Rival Mob “Bitter Rivals” Demo 7 inch before…

That’s right; barfight is the only seller I’ve ever seen make note of the fact that this is a Can’t Close My Eyes rip, complete with Batman stamp, which makes it totally ill. Kudos to them for the accuracy, and kudos to you sir for making note of it!

Decent.

Looks like we’re going to want to be keeping an eye on hockeyfox’s auctions, as he has followed up the copy of the Rev Together comp with a copy of Can’t Close My Eyes on Positive Force.

Sadly, this copy is lacking a lyric sheet, but as a potential sign of auctions to come, it bodes… well, decent anyways. Even an insertless copy on Positive Force beats the tripe Rev put out under the guise of re-releases in the late 90s…

Youth of Today x4.

To make up for teasing xundergroundx about his Minor Threat typo, I’m posting up his 4 Youth of Today auctions.

Yeah. I’d probably have posted them anyways. You got me.

YOT BIN.

Seller blackandread brings us a Caroline/Schism press of Can’t Close My Eyes…

That BIN is a tad high, but this is still a good score for someone looking to fill a hole in their YOT collection, and a good way to start a morning. And if you’d rather take a chance on getting it for lower, grafiksboy has one up with a 5.99 starting bid.

Doesn’t Anybody Ever Learn?

I’m sure natalia112345 is a nice lady, but she really needs to lower her Expectations…

$99 starting bids. Not BIN’s, STARTING BIDS. One of which is for a record with an uncertain pedigree and no lyric sheet. Why do people continually think this is a sound selling technique? I know that this seller has a Gorilla Biscuits 7 inch ending today that was started at $499, and yes it got a couple bids, but that’s the exception, not the rule. The fact is, for every Agnostic Front bootleg that starts at $75 and ends up clearing $200, there’s a Straight Ahead lp that sits there with a $150 starting bid and watches a Straight Ahead lp with a single digit starting bid go for just shy of that desired price.

Get with it people. It’s an auction. You want people to get in a bidding war, not an 11th hour race to the “place bid” button. You want to get a certain amount for your record? Put a BIN or set a reserve. In the long run, you’re only hurting yourself.

If The World Was Flat…

Would delapasion still grind the Edge? Doesn’t really matter one way or another, just wondering. I mean, I can’t even tic tac. I CAN however, state as a fact that We Just Might is 1000x better than Time To Forgive…
