brokenaura is selling a bunch of stuff, this auction happens to end really soon (today) but its a cool record so I wanted to post it.

The story as I heard it is that Clive Barker contacted Coil about doing the soundtrack for his movie Hellraiser. When the music was finished Clive Barker thought that it was ‘to scary’ and ‘not commercial enough’ to go with the images in the film and he decided not to use it.

Coil than released it as a 10″, CD and cassette as The Unreleased Themes for Hellraiser (subtitled The Consequences Of Raising Hell).

I’m not sure about pressing info, but the seller says that there was 500 for the first press all on clear vinyl. I had one on black vinyl years ago, but don’t have it anymore. Its a pretty cool ambient background record and a cool record to add to a collection.
