Not only is it fucked up, it’s also un-American. Disliking coke is like disliking apple pie or Bruce Springsteen. You might as well admit to being a communist. It’s just not right. Needless to say, Fucked Up prefers Pepsi over Coca Cola. I don’t get it. I don’t agree but hey, that’s just me. If you like Pepsi, or just the sound that Fucked Up produces, you may want to grab this LP from theyshoothorses. No idea if it’s a test pressing of 8 or 80. It’s hard to keep up with Fucked Up sometimes…

Coca Cola, We Don’t Drink No Booze!
I suspect many of you came to this post expecting a Last Rights EP. Not the case this time around. This time, I’m actually blogging about Coca Cola. That’s right, the carbonated cola that we all love. That other soft drink doesn’t stack up, not even close. What you see here from israeli-records, is a box set of 6 EPs from 1979. That’d be 31 (almost 32) years ago. Quite some time, no doubt. And the contents are super varied. From new wave punk to Bob Marley reggae to traditional French tunes to KBD punk. KDB punk? That’s right. Starshooter’s Betsy Party is the b-side of one of these EPs. They were a punk group from France in the late 70s. Their EP Pin Up Blonde was released in 1977 to some fanfare. That’s probably how they landed on this EP boxset. The song featured actually went to #1 on the French Pop charts. Crazy. So if you are down with KBD or Coca Cola, this boxset has your name on it. Get into it.
Killing The Dream – Lucky Me
You can’t get your grubby mitts on the Lucky Me LP … YET … But on November 23, be prepared to bum rush the Deathwish Inc Estore. It’s dropping that day. If you don’t know Killing The Dream, you have probably been holed up in a cave with the crew of Lost for the last 5 years. This band got their big start in 2005 with Rivalry Records. But for the last 4 years, they’ve called Deathwish Inc their home. With a few EPs and two LPs already under their belt and on the DWI roster, you can expect this album will smoke. Especially for those of you into that metallic hardcore noize.** I’ve heard the album is an evolution of their sound and brings more depth to the music. We shall see, right?
And if you need to catch up the back catalog, you can grab this In Place, Apart LP from tony000666. Head over to Deathwish Inc to pick up Fractures on coke bottle clear vinyl (I could go for a coke zero right about now…), or a digital download or two.
** c’mon, I don’t make that pun too often. Let it slide this time.

What’s in the sleeve driving up the price?
A gram of coke actually. That is the only way I can rationalize why this is going for $51 dollars at the time of me posting. It must be good coke too, probably close to pure. Last time I checked you could buy a gram of cut up blast for $15 from the guy with the Desert-Storm hat at the package store down the street.
I digress, $51 for this rererepress on yelow vinyl. These bidders must really need a fix.
*BONUS*
I had a cousin in Desert-Storm. He brought me home a tabasco sauce bottle full of sand. Thanks idiot, what I am gonna do with a bottle of sand?
Can’t Beat The Real Thing!
I dont know what the deal with these first two LPs are, but they are pretty funny! I’m Straight Edge and Coca-Cola is my drink of choice. I even have a XXX tattoo with a Coke theme to one of the X’s.
These first 2 records look like they might be part of a series which makes me wonder what other bands they have done or will do. I do know that my record collection is severly missing a promotional Coca-Cola ABBA picture disck though! The Doobie Brothers one is pretty awesome too! If they were cheaper I would definitly pick them up!
The third LP looks like it is various versions of the ‘Have a Coke and a Smile’ theme done in a bunch of different musical styles. unfortunantly this record is pricey too.
