Samhain – the comlete discography

Even if you’re not really into collecting records or you’re so into collecting records that you dont play any of them there is still no excuse for you not to have the Samhain albums.

Now if either of those descriptions above fit you then check out the Samhain box set that echobunny2000 is selling.

I wish I would have gotten one of these 10 years ago when it came out, but I slept on it and ended up without it! If you buy this one you will get 5 CDs including, Initium, Unholy Passion, November-Coming-Fire, Final Descent & the previously unreleased Samhain Live ’85-’86 recorded in New York and Chicago. The set also comes with a live VHS tape filmed at 2 New Yorks shows and 1 show in Baltimore, a Samhain comic book and a 32 page book of photos and lyrics.

This isnt one of the advance pre-order sets becasue it doesnt come with the scarecrow monster pin, but other than that its 100% complete. The box it a little dinged up, but its 10 years old!

the fine art of cannibalism!

Vince Locke is an artist that has worked on comics including Judge Dredd, A History of Violence, Sandman, Batman, Deadworld and a bunch of others. He has also worked on art for the gaming company Wizards of the Coast and done a lot of artwork for the death metal/grind core band Cannibal Corpse.

He is selling some original Judge Dredd comic pages and this 12 x 12 acrylic & watercolor painting titled ‘Butchered at Birth’ which was used for the cover art of the Cannibal Corpse album of the same title. The art was determined to be obscene and when some stores refused to stock the album they were wrapped in butchers paper to cover the obscenity.

Now you can decorate your home, apartment or dorm room with the original painting, but act fast because it ends soon!

GWAR!

If you havent seen Gwar live, you really should…. everyone should experience it at least once. I’ve seen them a bunch of times and even though some of the members change (the men behind the masks at least) they still always sound the same. Balask the Jaws of Death is my personal favorite.

This is an original Shimmy Disc press of the first Gwar LP ‘Hell-O’ complete with the lyric sheet & ‘origin of Gwar comic book’. I remember making my mom & dad drive me to Thayer Street in Providence becuase Tom’s Tracks finally got a copy of this record in stock! It was probably 1988 and I had seen pictures of them in Metal Edge magazine and was dying to hear them! Years later I got to hang out with Oderus, Beefcake & Slymenstra at a Newbury Comics instore when I worked at the Newbury warehouse… awesome band, awesome characters and awesome people!
