All RAMONES all the time

IMO, there is nothing cooler in the record collecting world than a good 45 picture sleeve single. I don’t give a shit if I have the songs on LP already, if I come across a good looking 7″ single, I’ll always buy it. 45′s sound better/louder, and you can DJ with them. 45′s ARE THE COOLEST, end of story.

Here’s a great trio that proves my point to a T. All three records have great songs on them, but look how fucking COOL they look. “Hi, we all dress the same and our photos always look the same, but we are 100 times cooler and tougher than you will ever be, because we are the Ramones.” If only there was a single for Judy Is A Punk, I would probably stop buying records.

ps, everyone stay away from the German Rockaway Beach single, I really need that one.

JOY DIVISION – Warsaw LP/7″

There’s nothing that screams JOY DIVISION quite like a set of rainbow tie dye splatter records, right? Not sure what the deal with this is, other than the fact that it’s a bootleg, but this is really freakin’ cool looking set of records. They just don’t do vinyl like this anymore. The auction info reads like something that was copied off of the insert, most likely written by an unscrupulous bootlegger.

Warsaw was JD’s name before they were JD, and they never had a legit release under that name. They were a lot more “punk” than JD, sounding not unlike early Wire or Crisis. There are a million different bootlegs of these songs, this one being one of the more interesting looking versions.
