Tags Matching: Courage to Be

I’m not sure how dthmtlglf ended up with this CD in Ohio, but he only wants .99 cents for it and I suggest you grab it asap since it ends today!

SHED was a metal band from Providence, RI. I guess you could compare them to Tool, the Deftones and Rollins Band, but they definitely had their own sound overall. Their singer Dave Lysik is one of my favorite singers of all time. I did really like Shed a lot, but Dave had some other bands that were great too. He was in a hardcore band called Courage to Be (if you have ANY Courage to Be stuff please let me know!), he was in a metal band called Severance and then in a slightly industrial sounding band called Wrapcoil.

Everyone in Shed is great and even though they don’t play anymore I’m one of the RI people hoping they do one more show eventually. The first song on this CD ‘Home’ is an amazing song that I would totally cover if I ever had a band again! Ricci, Mario, Dave, Fred… if you’re reading this play one more show so we can all sing-a-long… “The machine is me… the machine is me… its my head and heart, my eyes & my soul… yeah I’m coming home… I AM COMING HOME!”
