Fuckin’ A, here’s a heavy hitter from record_lover. A true NYHC collector scum trifecta: the first NYHC record, the rarest NYHC record, and probably the most expensive NYHC record. Condition isn’t great on this copy, but at 300 press this is one of those records that you’ve gotta take in any condition you find.
Cool early hardcore zine outta NYC, published by Misguided drummer Lyle Hysen. Not sure how many issues he did, the highest copy I’ve seen is #9. DG was also responsible for releasing what many would call the first official “New York Hardcore” record, the Heart Attack God Is Dead 7″.
This issue has short spreads on the Bad Brains and Undead, some scene news and a smattering of record reviews. The cover is great Bad Brains art by Donnel G. of Th’ Influence (another all-black early NYC band, if anyone has ANY recording by this band please contact me!) At any rate, these are virtually impossible to find now, so the $19.99 BIN is not a bad deal for a nice piece of vintage NYHC ephemera.
