bluetileauctions has something I’ve never seen before, a Danzig test pressing. I know people who have some, but I’ve never seen one for sale. This isn’t for one of the albums but it is a Danzig at their peak. It was made into a 12″ single, as the seller wonders about. I believe the 12″ single was only sent out to radio stations as promo. This has potential to really jump in price with some the Danzig crazies out there.

Poster Noize – Misfits Static Age poster
I know this isn’t an “old” Misfits poster but its still pretty awesome. Static Age, the aborted 1978 Misfits album was supposed to be released Halloween 1995 but got postponed again until 1997. But not before Caroline printed up 40,000 promo posters for the record. They gave 2000 of them to the band who were about to announce their triumphant comeback. Then the album got put on the shelf and Caroline destroyed 95% of the posters. The price on this one yuanwu has might seem a little high but this would look really cool framed and its not some bullshit poster from Hot Topic.
I missed the boat on Halloween Danzig posts
so this is getting a late start. It seems like yesterday that orange copies of NCF would struggle to hit $150. This one is at $300 with 8 days left and the reserve isnt met. Its true it doesnt turn up much but with all the Danzig hate going on right now you would think it wouldnt go too high.
Like most people selling colored Misfits/Samhain vinyl these days, andrew.flyguy goes out of his way to point out the vinyl has a swirl or flake in it of another color, thinking it makes it more valuable. Sadly that tactic works on the average idiot collecting Danzig related records.
Glenn may be a dick, but hes in good bands!
After the recent crap that Danzig pulled at the Fun Fun Fun Fest in Texas I think its important we remind ourselves why we (I) still like this man.
EXHIBIT 1 – The Misfits Coffin Box Set -
There are not to many records that I think everyone should own, but the Misfits discography is one! This is not the super cool first press with the cool slim jewel cases, but what really matters here is that you get the songs and it still comes with the book & pin.

EXHIBIT 2 – The Samhain Box Set –
I’m sad to say that I don’t have this and I really wish I did. Theres no excuse because it came out when I was working at Newbury Comics so I could have gotten a discount on it, but I kept putting it off and just never picked one up. Learn from my mistake and buy this one!!

EXHIBIT 3 – Danzig III ‘How The Gods Kill’ Box Set -
We’re just using this example to represent all the early Danzig stuff. After this record they started to decline in quality, but Danzig I, II & III are all great! This is the limited boxed version of Danzig III with the 3-D Geiger cover art. My dad bought this for me for my birthday when it came out and a few years later when I was cleaning my room I threw out the box thinking all I needed was the CD. Once again… learn from my mistake and buy this!!!!

Misfits Bullet 1st press
I meant to post this alot earlier but i screwed that one up. So heres a late night Misfits post. trinko5000
has a first pressing of Bullet up in real top notch condition. Despite being the oldest of Misfits records save for Cough/Cool, I feel like Bullet comes up in great shape the most. Maybe because its on a thicker cover stock than Horror Business or NOTLD. Every time i see a good condition 1st pressing im tempted to buy it. This one is still relatively cheap by Misfits standards.
Misfits “Ritz” 1981 silkscreened show poster
Good old ryebread just relisted this bad boy in improved condition. Does it look like its worth $600? Well it probably is. A non-cut one of these used come in around the $4-5000 mark. Im guessing this was Tim Kerr from the Big Boys copy and was like this when Glenn gave it to him. This one was up before but i guess Ryan took it down and had it attached to a linen backing to keep it from being destroyed any more. All these old Misfits screened show posters are printed on super thin cheap butchers paper so their condition 30 years later is somewhat less than stable. If i didnt already have one of these I would be all over this. Jeff StartToday im directing this one at you
Too much Horror Business
Now I don’t expect anyone to actually buy these at the prices they’re listed for, but my friend Aaron, aka ak-themisfit, aka the dude who had the best Misfits collection in the world for a while, has up some real rarities in the Misfits world.
Back when the Fiend Club wasn’t something you listed your bootleg Misfits records on ebay under, and wasn’t something on the back of a shirt at Hot Topic, Glenn used to make and send things out himself when you ordered from the band. If you ordered a record (or were lucky enough to get a screened show poster randomly) it came in one of these envelopes. There were 5 different Fiend Club envelopes between 1978 and 1983, the 4 silkscreened ones below and one that was offset printed and used to sell for about $25 on ebay in the late 90s.
This is the only one listed which i dont actually have myself. Its by far the rarest of them all with i believe only 4-5 known to still exist. Almost all of them got sent out with copies of Horror Business on black vinyl. Im guessing this unmailed one came right from Glenn to the seller. Its actually just a partial image of the Max’s 3-28-79 poster`screened onto an envelope. This shit is no joke, but its not $4777 no joke.

The second rarest of them is this double screened envelope used around 1981. I might be making this up but i seem to remember seeing a black/red one once. This is the black/purple though. Again not many known to still be around, especially in unmailed condition.

The more common version of the above envelope. Almost all them were like this one. My Ritz poster was originally sent in one of these.

The final one is the one used around 1980 for a while. This is probably the same screen used for the original Fiend Club shirts too. A good place to start if you want to get into collecting thigns screened by Danzig.

We got some Attitude.. but no insert
Im a little surprised at how cheap this is with less than 24 hours left to go. Not so long ago this was a $800-$1000 record, especially one in this condition. Surely the missing insert cant be worth more than the vinyl and cover? Ironically being sold by plan9music, which is the record store not the label. As far aesthetics goes the 1st pressing of Bullet is one of my favorites of all time so insert or not I am going to have my eye on this.
