Dropdead & Crossed Out & Desecration… Oh My!

Here is a cool 3 7″ box set from batfuk, who has a lot of cool auctions you should check out.

This is the West Coast Power Violence and More box set. Its a 3 x 7″ set with records from Dropdead, Crossed Out & Desecration. The auction description doesn’t give much info, but I have this so here is the low down…

The Crossed Out tracks are taken from the split 7″ with Dropdead, the split 7″ with Man Is The Bastard on Slap A Ham Records, their s/t 7″ on Slap A Ham Records, and their tracks from the Son Of Bllleeeaaauurrgghhh compilation on Slap A Ham Records.

Dropdead’s tracks were recorded live at WFMU Radio on 8/8/93.

The Desecration tracks are taken from The North Atlantic Noise Attack compilation on Manic Ears Records, Who’s In Control EP on TPC Records, the Metal Gives Us A Headache compilation on Hippycore Records, and their split LP with Subverse on Manic Ears Records.

The whole package was limited to only 200 copies!

STR8 TO HELL on SUNDAY!

I think that just about every band that someone from Dropdead has been part of has been good. Bob was in The Fuzz and is currently in Lolita Black & I,Destroyer which are all great. Devon their old bass player was in Monster X & Exploding Corpse Action & George is in She Rides. Lastly Brian is in Battle Snake, Neon Bitches & played on this Straight to Hell record that cryptocomix is selling.

Like I said, all the Dropdead offspring bands are great and this one is no exception. Bid hard!

the BASTARDS are SUFFERING!

Suffering Bastard is one of my favorite active bands from Rhode Island. They are a grindcore band from Pawtucket which is awesome, but as a bonus they have TWO bass players! It really doesnt get much cooler than that in my book…. oh wait… they are also huge Howard Stern fans!

thedarkesthills has the trifecta of SB music all really good prices too.

The 6 track self titled CD with the untitled bonus 7th track that is over an hour long and will rattle the hell out of your speakers at some points!

The 8 track self titled cassette only release that includes two of my favorite SB songs, ‘Gas, Grass or Ass’ and ‘BDSMBBW4BBBJTC’.

And finally the SB/Cock ESP split 10″ which is great too!

Theres also a SB 7″ so if you’re into those 3 then try and track down a copy of that too. If you want to check them out before you buy any of that stuff (even though its cheap!) check out www.myspace.com/sufferingbastardrules

8 inches of ‘core

My pal adversewind has been freeing up some tasty platters from his collection for the past few months, and just posted up a great batch of stuff on Monday. Be sure to check ‘em out, there’s a little something for everyone. Here are a couple top entries into the very small list known as “classic split 8″ records”…

First off, the Dropdead/Rupture split 8″ is one of the coolest looking records, and I was absolutely elated to walk into my friend’s record store in the mid 90′s to find this thing for $6.99 as it was a completely IMPOSSIBLE record to get at the time (regardless of vinyl color). This is some of the best Dropdead material, and the Rupture side smokes too. It’s too bad Alberti Record Pressing went out of business, as no one makes a good looking splatter record anymore.

The Infest/PHC split has everything bad going for it — split record, 8″ record, flexi disc, live recordings — but it’s still a scorcher and it’s release #1 for Slap-A-Ham which adds to the charm. I still need a copy of this record if anyone wants to send me one for free ;)

DROPDEAD > CONVERGE

fsccheek1 has a cheap copy of the recent DROPDEAD/Converge split 7″ that was put out by Deathwish/Armageddon to celebrate the 20th anniversary of both bands. I got it and its awesome, but I’m a big sucker for Dropdead.

I know that far more people collect Converge records than Dropdead stuff, but I wonder if anyone out there plans to try and get a complete set? Brian from Dropdead said that there were to many color variations to count so this picture probably does not even show all the ones out there!

Shameless Self Promotion!

Ok.. heres a little self promotion, but its a good item that I would have posted even if someone else was selling it… I swear!

This is one of 4 Dropdead mini box set CDs that Armageddon Label did last year. They had a bunch of loose CDs, but no packaging for them so they got some special boxes and created a really cool package. Its a 5″ x 8″ thick cardboard box with a sticker on the front, back & spine recreating the artwork from the LP. Inside the box is a layer of soft foam, a 1″ pin, a lyric sheet/insert and a CD in a screen printed hand numbered sleeve.

They did boxed versions like this for the 1993 self titled and the 1998 self titled, both were limited to 91 numbered copies and they did 150 copies of the Live In Wermelskirchen 1998 album putting it on CD for the first time. The one that I have to sell is the Discography 1992-1993 CD and this is #22 out of 191 copies.

As far as I know these sold out pretty fast and the only reason I’m selling this one is because I ended up with 2 of them. If I remember correctly my Minimum bid is just about what it cost to buy it when it came out.

I’m doing a little early spring cleaning so check out Josh’s other stuff! if you’re looking for a used iPhone, Sirius radio or some collectible dolls that my girlfriend is selling.

Weymouth Hardcore

I know that this 7″ being sold by brian138bush is a bootleg since the only official Seige releases are the original 6 song demo tape and the 3 songs on the ‘Cleanse the Bacteria’ comp, but it still looks like a cool record. I’ve been a fan of Seige for a long time, but was just listening to them again the other day and damn their good!

Anyway this 7″ ends in less than a day and its pretty cheap so check it out.

5 Inches of Crust!

neatneatneatrecords is selling one of my favorite crusty/hardcore records. I just feel like it doesnt get any better than a split between DROPDEAD and CROSSED OUT on 5 inch vinyl! I think one of the only things left for Dropdead to try is putting out a 13 inch record!

5 Inches of Crust!

rlyehtechnologies has zero feedback so bid with caution and maybe get a deal!

DropDead & Crossed Out 5″ split. I love this record because its so small it looks fake! I actually just got a copy of this a few months ago when Ben from Armageddon Shop was clearing out his archives of DropDead vinyl and I’m glad to finally have it! As much as I love DropDead the Crossed Out stuff on this record is amazing too!!

DROPDEAD

rudysstuff has a BIN thats pretty high on this LP and he also leaves out a bit of info that makes it more desirable.

This is a purple vinyl copy of the 2nd Dropdead LP from 1998, but there are 2 different purple vinyl ones. There was a standard release with a black and white sleeve that was limited to 7000 on purple and 2000 on black. This specific purple vinyl LP in the black on black screen printed sleeve is from a batch of only 500 for the 1998 US tour! BIG difference!

I actually just picked up a super limited CD version of this over the weekend. Its a 5″ x 8″ box with stickers on the front and back showing the front & back covers. Inside the box is a CD in a hand numbered screen printed paper sleeve, a copy of the original insert and a pin. I got # 14 of 91. They also did box versions of the Discography (limited ti 191) and a live record recorded in 1998 (limited to 150). Great work by Armageddon Shop & Dropdead in putting these together!

Lastly Dropdead is back in action and playing again. They just played a show in Pitsfield, MA and have a few more booked so keep an eye out!

its another Siege!

Siege rules…. I posted this record not long ago so I wont go on and on about it again, but its great and you should own it! I dont know what the numbers are on the yellow vinyl, but this is from the 2006 repress so it has all the comp tracks on it.

thevonroyale also has a lot of other highend stuff for sale so I’m sure that the prices are somewhat inflated, but hes got ‘best offer’ options so shoot him a lowball offer and maybe he will come back with a good price in the middle somewhere.

None Survive, None Alive, Genocide!

we dont see that much SIEGE stuff pop up because there really isnt that much SIEGE stuff out there. This is a test press of the SIEGE 12″ that Deep Six Records put out, but I’m not sure if its the 2004 version or the 2006 version. They added 2 more songs to the 2006 pressing. Either way its not from the short lived reunion line up that featured Seth Putman from AC on vocals.

As an added bonus this copy is signed by Kevin Mahoney & Rob Williams.

Definitly a rare piece of vinyl from a band that managed to influence TONS of band and all sorts of genres in a really short period of actual active playing time.

8 inches of crust

1993 split 8″ record from DROPDEAD and RUPTURE. This is the firwst press black vinyl limited to 600 (there were also 400 on clear splattered vinyl).

This is a great record aside from the novelty of being an 8″. 24 tracks of amazing crusty grind core. A++

Crusties love their off size records…

I love Dropdead for lots of reasons, one of which is because they have released a 5″, a 7″ an 8″ and an 11″ in addition to a 12″ that plays from the inside out and an LP with a lockgroove in the middle… Genius!

This is the original Clearview Records pressing of the ‘Discography’ 11″ on orange vinyl limited to only 500 copies complete with the newsprint insert.
