Vinyl Noize | dungeons & dragons

It might be a little cheesy since these are 2 of the singles they put out, but ‘Trip at the Brain’ and ‘Possessed to Skate’ are 2 of my favorite Suicidal Tendencies songs. I love the first 3 LPs from start to finish and I like a lot of the stuff after that, including some of the funky stuff, but those 2 songs are my favorite.

Trip at the Brain reminds me of my old metal head friends in highschool. I hadnt discovered straight edge yet, but I didnt drink or smoke or anything and my friends almost all smoked and drank and most of them did quite a bit of acid too. The group of them got together, droppped acid and played a lot of Dungeons & Dragons. At one of the get togethers a kid name Neil had his characters killed and I guess it caused him to have a bad trip or something because he freaked out and was going to kill himself and all sorts of stuff. They finally talked him down and brought his chracter back to life or something.

Possessed to Skate reminds me of hanging out at my friend Kurts house when he had a 1/2 pipe in his garage. I never really skateboarded with the exception of my Variflex board that came from Caldor or Childworld, but I loved watching my friends skate. Lots of awesome music was jammed on a small boombox playing mix tapes of Bad Brains, Agnostic Front, DYS, Ganggreen, Slapshot and of course Suicidal tendencies!
