marpeg98 has a very rare record up for sale that every sui-cyco fan should have. Oh sorry, it’s not the record itself that is rare, it’s the fact that it isn’t listed with a ridiculously high priced “Buy It Now” that makes it hard to find. I don’t know what is up with all the original Suicidal Records you find online, but sellers generally seem to think triple digit “Buy It Now” deals are the way to go. Fail.
Here is an amazing looking copy of Excel’s Split Image complete with inserts and an intact printed inner sleeve. To me, Split Image was their best record, released at the height of the skateboard/crossover/Suicidal era in 1987. As with all Suicidal Records releases, the bands for the most part end up sounding like “Join The Army” era Suicidal Tendencies and the vocalists sound like Mike Muir.
You could do worse.
