I dunno WHO xbestoneyetx could POSSIBLY be, or who they could POSSIBLY be selling records for, but doesn’t it always seem like they have the ill Floorpunch goods? In this case, it’s the recent discography 2 lp from some label called Six Feet Under Records. One is the band/friends only press out of 95 on blue (still sealed), and the other, conveniently enough for the day of the week, is a test press…

Intolerable Weight
Right now, I’m preparing for my first ever trip to Babies R Us. It’s a daunting task. One could say, it’s an intolerable weight … on my shoulders. If you need me, that’s where I’ll be. As for you, check out these great Soul Search EPs from alfredo_gutierrez. The friends press has a great description, “there were only about 15 made very rare and sketchy….” What does that even mean? PS. Make sure to pick up the Bury The Blame EP from Triple B Records. Quit sleeping.
Splitting Headache for collectors
My mate and ex world champion Down To Nothing collector xhopperx is back again with more auctions and yet another insanely rare DTN item. This is yet another variation of the ‘Splitting Headache’ double 7″ that came out on UK label Speedowax Records. Does anyone know how many versions of this thing there are? This one is the ‘friends press’ limited to just 5 copies. Yes, that’s right, 5 copies. I don’t think I’ve ever heard of a label having so few friends before. A true collector’s nightmare.
American Nightmare Purple X LP
For many years I thought that the American Nightmare friends press LP was supposed to be a purple X across the black vinyl as some kind of straight edge symbol. What a dipshit. But what always surprised me more about this LP is that it seems commonly referred to as the ‘blood splatter’. I have seriously wondered why for a long time. I mean, did anyone ever see blood that was purple, or blood that randomly splattered into a nice neat X? No, of course not. This should just be referred to as the purple X edition if you ask me. Anyway, regardless of what you’re calling it, this is rare as hell and twice as popular. UK seller boroxrob is selling his to help push his business forward, and in the process helping you push your American Nightmare collection forward.
And if that’s not enough, dude also has the dark red color of the same LP up as well. This one is the one that really should be called ‘blood splatter’ as it is deep red and actually does look like blood. Sometimes I wonder whether this color IS the blood splatter and at some point years ago someone, somewhere got confused and referred to the purple X one as ‘blood splatter’ and the name just stuck. Seems kinda plausible to me. Anyone got any idea?
Test Press Tre Is A Bad Friend.
There’s good and bad to be said for almost everybody in this world. Look at our beloved Tre. On the one hand, he can always be counted on to deliver the test press good when Test Press Tuesday and Thursday rolls around. Case in point: this week, he’s brought us an American Nightmare s/t test press:
The flip side of that coin however, is that Tre is also one of those bad friends who turns around and sells off his Friend Pressings with a weak “I hate to get rid of this” excuse. The AN s/t Friend’s Press even has his name on it… but you can just “cross that out”.
Test Press Tre = great dude. Friend Press Tre… not so much.
(In the interests of full disclosure, I may be just a little bit miffed at him right now for rejecting my advances towards the Last Rights Hitler sleeve from this morning. I CAN’T HELP BEING POOR, BUT YOU CAN HELP BEING A GREEDY FRIEND TRE!)
Get Well Soon.
As promised, here are some of our pal Tre’s auctions, and you can expect a lot more where these came from this week. It might even end up being almost exclusively Tre auctions this week, because this time he is selling his records for a noble cause, as opposed to his usual greed. His dog Alabama tore her ACL, and it’s going to cost 4grand to pay for it. Much as I like joking that Tre is rich, he ain’t that rich that this doesn’t require some fund raising on his part, and we’re happy to help out by spreading the word about his auctions. Plus I like Alabama better than I do Tre. We’ll start with this trio of AN rarities…

SHIPWRECK ‘Self Titled Seven Inch’ from A to Z
How much do you think you like the self titled Shipwreck 7″? Well now is your chance to step up and prove it by winning these auctions for not 1, not 2, not 3, but 11 different variations of it!
Im sure that jstarnold put a lot of time into this collection and it bums me out when someone has to sell stuff like this off. I have a Slapshot collection so big it takes up a whole room in my house and when/if I sell it, it will be a sad day to see all of it go. Not so much becuase I wont have the stuff anymore, but more so because of all the work that went into hunting down each variation of all the different itemes. I strongly suggest that you man up and buy ALL these so the collection can stay intact!
Lets start where all good collections of vinyl should start… with a test pressing. If you’re gonna have a record you gotta have a test press and for us collectors, the fewer the better! In this case its numbered 15 of 18 copies.

Now we will move on to some colored vinyl. Everyone likes different colors and generally speaking the more colors you offer the more records you can sell! Here you get 6 versions ranging from 1st press to 3rd press including… purple out of 144, yellow out of 189, clear blue out of 292, red out of 100, black out of 308 and white out of 1000!

If you’re gonna press vinyl on all sorts of colors like that you are bound to wind up with a few that are not quite what you wanted. Sometimes the differences are not big enough to really be noted, but sometimes you end up with cool ‘transitional’ pieces like this one. Rumble Records ended up with 19 of these cool smokey/clear 7″s and made up special numbered sleeves for them. This is # 14 out of 19.

If you’re gonna put out a record you gotta have a show to comemorate the release and you may as well have a special ‘record release’ version of the 7″ to sell on your special day. This one is on clear blue vinyl in a special ‘record release’ sleeve numbered 51 out of only 75 copies!

Now you did something special for your record release show, but anyone could walk up to the merch table and buy one. You really should do something special to give your friends as a thank you for all the support they’ve shown you! In thise case its, once again, a special sleeve and pressed on cool clear/coke bottle green vinyl!

Last but not least even if you already had your record release show theres no reason you cant do up another special version of your 7″ for another big show you get invited to play! This copy is sealed so we are not 100% sure exactly what is inside, but its from the 2008 Sound & Fury fest and its called the “Drift” pressing in a sealed envelope… pretty cool!

The A Stands For Apps.
Aaron Apps. Snappy dresser. One of the few brave people who have dared to moderate of the den of iniquity that is the Bridge Nine message board. And now, seller of several of the rarest versions of American Nightmare s/t e.p., many of which end in the next 24 hours. I’m sure when these are over, he’ll also be a man with a bulging Paypal account.
My favorite pressing, of course, is the BTSJ press.
Talk about a killer AN set. That’s why it’s my favorite AN pressing; it was one of my favorite AN sets. One that you can watch in full thanks to the wonder of the internets:
Thicker Than Water
Peabody, MA is a city full of awesome vinyl! Like these H2O records that Bridge 9 put out in 2008.
‘Still The Same Fellas’ 7″ on a weird clear vinyl with silver/grey streaks. The one I have kind of looks like a clear record with mold on it. This is also apears to have a few red streaks on it if your a super collector. This was a one time pressing of 1000 total and this vinyl was limited to only 300.
the ‘Nothing To Prove’ LP on blue vinyl was from the first press and limited to only 100 copies that were almost all given to the band and friends. B9 ended up selling a few copies through the site for regular price and H2O actually sold copies on tour for regular price, but its still a tough record to find.
From Anger & Rage
zackreps919 aprears to be clearing out a big Verse collection. Heres a couple of the things hes selling…
Verse – From Anger & Rage (Friend press – “Mint Chip” brown/ green split /110 )

Verse – From Anger & Rage (Record Release – nuclear – 86 /108)

some high end B9 vinyl!
the auctions are coming to and end and soon the doors to the B9Closet will once again be closed. It pains me that in the last 2-3 times they have done this not one ‘rejected’ test press of Digital Warfare has come out. Its one of only a handfull of Slapshot records I’m still looking for so if you have one help me out!!
American Nightmare (Give Up The Ghost)-S/T 7″ EP Clear Vinyl & Alternate Cover-Friends Press
This is the infamous American Nightmare S/T Friends press. A list exists that was originally done on a page of a notebook with all of the people who were given which copies of this vinyl. Very hard to find & limited to 100.
Have Heart- “The Things We Carry” LP Test Press limited to 20 copies
Your Guns Up Collection Sucks
Seriously.
Your Guns Up collection sucks.
But don’t worry, a good friend of vinylnoize, Riley is here to save your collection.
I’m suggesting you buy ALL of these. Save on shipping, right?
One time when I was first starting to get to know Dan, we made a crucial trade off the Mullet board. I traded him some Nike Dunk Highs for the first Bane shirt. I was pretty happy with our trade. We ended up meeting at a rest stop on 495 in Chelmsford, Mass. It was pretty weird. We’d actually make trades like this a few more times over the year. And he would get sneakers out of Canada from Nick Final Word for me too. Good hand offs on the Lowell Connector. Good times.
