The world lost another rocker last week with the death of Jani Lane the lead singer of Warrant. Love them or hate them everyone has heard ‘Cherry Pie’ at least once either on the radio, on MTV (when they played videos) or in a strip club.

As insensitive as it may be I’m going to take a few lines to post some of the Jani Lane jokes I read on facebook over the last week.

- “Now hes a six foot down boy”
- “Guess heaven really isnt to far away”
- “Did they find him in uncle Toms cabin?”
- “Guess he aint gonna swing with your daughter no more”

Now head over to eBay and bid on this shaped picture disc single of Warrants ‘Cherry Pie’… does it get any more early 90′s than that!?!?

Live ?!*@ Like a Suicide

Heres a blast from your hair metal past! In 1986 Uzi Suicide Records released the 1st recordings from Guns N’ Roses. Before I started this write up I always thought this record was super rare, but aparently I was wrong. Uzi Suicide was part of Geffen Records and this was released on LP and cassette with at least 10,000 total pressed.

The 4 songs on this EP are not actually live, the crowd noise was dubbed in after the fact. The songs were also re-released with 4 new songs on GNR LIES in 1988.
