I’m not much of an autograph hound, but this copy of Nervous Breakdown from vintagevinyl kinda cracks me up with Ginn’s “GETTIN REAL REAL GONE” inscription.

The jury’s out on whether or not these red cover copies are the second press as typically documented, or if they’re actually a 3rd or 4th version of the record. Read more here.

SST oop kbd rare L@@K!

Seller 2-density has up some cool old horror movies, and a couple nice slabs of early hardcore.

There are four records on SST that remain inexplicably out of print since they were first pressed… 1. Overkill Hell’s Getting Hotter 7″, 2. Saccharine Trust Paganicons LP, 3. The Dicks Kill From The Heart LP, and 4. The Stains eponymous LP. I could maybe see the label not wanting to repress a 7″, but I really can’t believe those LPs have been OOP for so long. Hopefully some day soon Greg Ginn will emerge from his weed induced funk and reissue these, or allow someone else to license them for proper reissue treatment. Until then, here are some nice looking copies of the Dicks and Stains LPs for your buying pleasure.

Another SST radio gadget

Here’s another one of SST’s pre-record label ham radio devices. These things are pretty cool, I saw one at my friend’s house in TX last week and they definitely make interesting conversation pieces.

I guess with this one being a prototype of gadget #1, it’s kind of equivalent to a test press of Nervous Breakdown… or something like that.
