Here is an oldie but a goodie from recordgraveyard. This green vinyl from Stillborn records is a real trip down memory lane. I’ve seen both of these bands a bunch of times, but its been years and years for both of them. Yet I still remember when this record came out.

Only the strong….survive
It look’s like stab_and_kill has a few auctions going up tonight. The previous post of the Mental 7″ and now this Only the Strong compilation. Pretty impressive to still have all of the inserts with their different color inks. Makes for quite a collector’s item.
Integrity – Sinning on TPT
CT seller baosgarden brings us this treat that he received direct from “Tony during the early Victory days”. I’m a huge fan of the artwork/design/layout of this record. Acquiring a Test of Integrity on their first ep would be pretty cool, too.
A few years ago a buddy of mine BenG sent me a youtube clip of Integ playing Buffalo, and Scott Vogel was obv moshing, and there was more than a few skinheads with questionable political alliances in attendance as well. If I can get this again, I’ll post it up.
** This isn’t the video I was looking for but, its awesome footage nonetheless. This clip should also be posted on TTD because there are a ton of GREAT shirts. For instance, I just saw a dude wearing a REACH OUT shirt. So sick.
Roses Never Fade – where’s Marcus?
So bbmp11 has a record up for sale that I am currently running a scan of my memory banks to try and write about. Now, Roses Never Fade was a Dwid from Integrity side project. A kind of Death In June, darkcoustic (I just made that genre up) project. I remember the original preorder for this record was a mess of some kind. I think it reminded me of the Suicide File / R’n'R split fiasco, but… man… time really blurs messy preorders all together into one huge B9 thread in my brain… But then this came out on A389? I wish it wasn’t so late. I would call Dom, but he is probably asleep.
ROSES NEVER FADE 7”
Limited to 100 copies; wax sealed, handmade noose. What can be said about this obscure release? Not much is known 100 copies of these were announced to be released by the label but chances are that only a fraction of these made it among record collectors. “Rare” is an understatement. ROSES NEVER FADE features members of INTEGRITY, VEGAS and PALE CREATION.
It looks really cool too, with the little noose and the wax stamp. $30 with 3 days left… I think it’s got a little more to go before it tops out. Don’t pose on being a holy terrorist, bid hard! I am surprised Marcus didn’t write this up. Oh well. You snooze you lose bud.
Integrity 1st 7″ on Red
baosgarden brings one of the most saught after Integrity records there are, the ‘In Contrast Of Sin’ 7″ on Victory Records on red vinyl. Depending on who you believe, there are either only 100 or 200 of these out there. I personally would lean more toward 100 seeing as it does not pop up that often, and a lot of big collectors I have known over the years either didn’t have one or couldn’t get one. It’s a tough find and can go for a tidy sum. This one is sitting at $51 with slightly less than 24 hours to go, although the reserve has not been met. Who knows what the reserve might be or how much this could fetch, but you can bet someone has their eye on this bigtime.
Crasher Mosh
This is an odd one, sort of, yeah everyone knows Dwid is into GISM and Japanese stuff, but I still didn’t really see this comp coming. Integirty, Gehenna, Rot In Hell, Vegas and Cape of Bats covering classic Japanese hardcore punk. Does your standard patch crusty granola eater into japcore even acknowledge this thing? Doubt it, but their loss! I actually really like GISM and Bastard, and the Stalin is one of my favorite bands ever (yeah different style I know), but I can’t hang with the average crusty-hippie nerd into this stuff. I suppose there are people who dig the Cro-Mags and Integrity but hate “the average nyhc jock” or whatever, that’s the world for you. Let someone else fight over it, I’ll take their records when they are done.
Anyway, Integrity and Gehenna are probably the best bands on this thing. Rot In Hell are OK (waiting to check out their stuff with Hans LIAR though), Vegas is pretty by the numbers, over the top “holy terror”, I’ve never heard Cape of Bats. This is a comp of covers, but you can’t tell who does what song here. I suppose Integrity doing “Endless Blockade for the Pussyfooter” would be too much?
This thing was pretty limited afaik, not sure on all the numbers, this blue one is out of 129. I also saw a yellow/gold version out there.
One more thing I’ll say is I’m pretty bummed over what Gehenna are doing now, they basically turned black metal and that sucks (but I’m sure they’d want me to hate it and then die).
Systems Overload
Hailing from Japan, seller xjayskillsx has got a great piece of wax up for grabs with NO BIDS on it yet. It wasn’t long before I posted another Cleveland classic, the last being In Cold Blood’s Hell On Earth LP. This is the last “classic” Integrity release I got deep into. Systems Overload was released in 1995, three years after the classic Those Who Fear Tomorrow was released. Systems Overload is most definitely the most “punk” release by them and definitely should fall into the top 3 of anyone’s favorite Integrity release.
xjayskillsx puts in his item description GISM and Madball right next to each other, and while that doesn’t make sense stand alone, in a description for this Integrity release it makes quite a bit of sense to me. Take a look the first few two tracks on this album, Incarnate 365/No One. The intro to the album is a heavy hitter; for a minute and half you are moshing around your room and when 1:30 hits there is a Melnick “face-meling” solo over Dwid’s strained demon-esque vocals, not too far off from a few GISM songs off of Detestation. No One hits after this intro with a no frills straight up hardcore song about talking shit not unlike “Get Out” by Madball. I could break down all the songs on this record, but you should do yourself a favor and throw this on. And if you don’t have the time for the first two songs put on “Jimson Isolation” and hear Dwid say “I farted” at 2:28.
In Cold Blood – Hell On Earth LP – White Vinyl
A year after the last Melnick bros. last proper release through Integrity, a full length release by In Cold Blood surfaced through on Victory Records in 1998. Not too far of a stretch from the Melnick bros. Integrity material they met up with a few others including, Blaze from OLC and frontman Jason Popson to release a great LP’s worth of material. Jason Popson is better known as the singer of Mushroomhead but this material, needless to say is quite a bit different than his nu-metal outfit. There was definitely something in the water in Cleveland, because alongside Ringworm, Integrity and OLC, there were some pretty great heavy material coming out of their neck of the woods, and that’s not too mention any of the punkier stuff. earwax666hotmail has got the In Cold Blood – Hell On Earth LP on White Vinyl up for auction. If I just hadn’t picked up some more expensive records recently, this would be on my watch list and I would be trying to win it.
Integrity’s 1st, 2nd or 3rd best record on red
There isn’t much new or exciting I can say about this one. Depending on your opinion, this is going to be 1st, 2nd or 3rd in your Integrity top 3 list. If you still need a red vinyl copy, this copy being sold by steveggs looks like a good one to grab, as it also includes the little booklet of spelling mistakes that only the first copies came with, as well as a large fold out poster.
An Integrity 7″ for test press Thursday
What even is this word that this Integrity 7″ is titled? Whatchamacalllit? No no, it’s Walpurgisnacht. That’s German for Walpurgis Night. Let us consult the brilliance of the interwebs*…
Walpurgis Night (Walpurgisnacht) is a traditional spring festival on 30 April or 1 May in large parts of Central and Northern Europe. It is often celebrated with dancing and with bonfires. It is exactly six months from All Hallows’ Eve.
The current festival is, in most countries that celebrate it, named after the English missionary Saint Walburga (ca. 710–77/9). As Walburga was canonized on 1 May (ca. 870), she became associated with May Day, especially in the Finnish and Swedish calendars. The eve of May day, traditionally celebrated with dancing, came to be known as Walpurgisnacht (“Walpurga’s night”). The name of the holiday is Walpurgisnacht in German and Dutch, Valborgsmässoafton in Swedish, Vappu in Finnish, Volbriöö, (Walpurgi öö) in Estonian, Valpurgijos naktis in Lithuanian, Valpurģu nakts or Valpurģi in Latvian, čarodějnice or Valpuržina noc in Czech, chódotypalenje Lower Sorbian and chodojtypalenje in Upper Sorbian.
The German term is recorded in 1668 by Johannes Praetorius as S. Walpurgis Nacht or S. Walpurgis Abend. An earlier mention of Walpurgis and S. Walpurgis Abend is in the 1603 edition of the Calendarium perpetuum of Johann Coler, who also refers to the following day, 1 May, as Jacobi Philippi, feast day of the apostles James the Less and Philip in the Catholic calendar.
The 17th century German tradition of a meeting of sorcerers and witches on May Day is influenced by the descriptions of Witches’ Sabbaths in 15th and 16th century literature.
There are a lot of weird words up there… You learn something new every day! This photo is rather small. Bigger photos mean bigger dollars!!! Scoop the BIN or take a chance on bidding. You be the judge. Doesn’t seem like coma021 has too too much else up for sale right now just some toyz.
*Interwebs = Wikipedia of course
In Contrast of Integrity on gold
I wanna make sure to get this auction in here before the flood of deekymutombo’s‘s auctions that are going to drown us all. Integrity’s “In Contrast Of Sin” is one of the “this is where it all started” 7″s that are important to this whole she-bang called hardcore. The band’s always stuck around in one form or another till present day, but this the starting point. Check this and all the rest of handsomephantom’s auctions, as they are ending in the next couple days.
Humanity on red
Red vinyl, Pushead art, and Dwid brought to you by sector.7g.

In Contrast of relisting test press Tuesday
Looks like baosgarden had to relist this Integrity test press that I wrote about a few weeks ago. Not sure what happened, the listing doesn’t say. Perhaps someone flaked? Not sure of starting it off at the last bid of $202 is going to get a lot of bites, hell, who knows. To quote myself…
The long weekend really has me screwed up! I just went to post this tomorrow, still thinking today is Monday. Whoops. Looks like baosgarden has an original Integrity “In Contrast Of Sin” test press from Victory. I am sure Murphy would point out the multiple bulldogs on the white sleeve. The internet has told me that there are 50 of these out there from Victory (and another 50 from the Organized Crime repress) so it’s not the rarest record. But hey, a test press is a test press right???
For those who still fear purple
So there was Test press of this record that I wrote about earlier this week and now we have one of the copies of it on purple. One thing I’ve noticed about this record is how the pressing info on it seems to be all over the place. I’ve defaulted to the “authority”, so to speak, out pal Marcus where he says that there were 200 on yellow, 300 on white, and 400 on purple. And, like he says, the numbering on the “Of 4000″ is just all over the place. This one from bloodclot-kichigaijin is numbered 3702. Integrity is an awesome band to collect. So many pressings, variations, side projects, related bands… the fun never ends!!!
Those who fear test press Tuesday
Pretty sure that fate_just_missed is going to dominate VN this week. Literally TONS of records up for auction. This one here is an absolute classic. A test press of the 1996 release of the Integrity masterpiece “Those Who Fear Tomorrow” (this time around titled “…And For Those That Still Fear Tomorrow”) This one is number 1 out of only 15 test pressings. Not all of these tests had covers like this, I think that someone along the way just made this, which there’s no shame in. It looks a lot cooler than a plain jacket or sleeve. Don’t let this slide by. People say it a lot, but this record does NOT come around too often, so get into it NOW. Holy Terror… so hot right now.
