Justice – Look Alive – Record Release ( do i know u?)

I wonder if seller xmilehighx has a mildly interesting story to go along with his ebay handle? One can hope…

Anyway, its funny for me to see this record release press out of 100 being sold out of Denver. I think at one point I wouldve known 90% of the people holding on to this wax. I tend to think very regionally, rather than on a national scale so its interesting when I can put things into perspective that a Belgian band had a record release show in Montreal, had a record pressed by a one off label, and some records managed to squeak out of the collections of people in Quebec. I guess its one of the ways of having our locale put on the map.

Dan Pelissier has always had an eye for design, and he did a good job putting the cover together for this release. If youre a diehard Justice fan and don’t have this record in your collection, I hope you’re able to put something together on acquiring this, because I think this record is important in putting their history/context together. There’s been a long standing friendship with some of the people involved, and can be seen as the birth place for other things that were to come. You’ll need to do some homework on that one, or just stay tuned…

Justice Look Alive

I know Jaybil will agree with me, but how good is the Look Alive EP from Justice? You’re moshing. Seriously. Everything about this EP is awesome. From the music to the record sleeve. Just a solid EP. Go ahead and grab the green vinyl ep from makeeler85. Or if want a bigger package, grab the lp with the bonus demo from oathrecs. #LOC

Lockin Out Lot

While this auction from everyonerage26 isn’t strictly 100% a Lockin Out Records lot, it’s close enough for gov’t work, as the saying goes. Here’s the kicker, for me at least. Two Crunchtime EPs. One on black and one on green. That’s just good stuff. The only non LOC items are the Dumptruck EPs on Trip Machine Labs. Like I said, close enough. The original demo calls it out, no idea if the soundbite made it to this EP… actually, that’s a good question. Did Greg’s shout out make it on the Trip Machine Labs press?

2-3-JUSTICE!

One of my favorite bands of the 2000s. One of my least favorite bands to search for anything on ebay. The keyword Justice brings up a lot fo shit I dont want and filtering it all out is too much a pain in the ass for me. rousseaugtr has up a nice little Justice record though. The demo pressed to vinyl. A one time pressing of 325 on black vinyl that sold out pretty quick. Very simple and dope. I love one version of a record. Im not trying to have 800 versions of the same record which is just a tape pressed to wax anyways(im lookin at you Have Heart demo 7″ who took it to ridiculous heights)

The I’s, The J’s, And Tre.

We love bringing you auctions from Tre, for a couple reasons. Mainly, because he’s our friend, and we here at Noize Corp like to help our friends by giving their auctions some extra visibility (it helps that our friends usually are selling good records). For me personally though, it’s because it gives me a forum to publicly bust his chops. I’ve already done so twice today though, so I think it’s only fair to give my favorite record company owning billionaire a break, and simply promote some of his wares, joke free.

Why this record is not more popular is beyond me.
Yes I know they are from euro and you probably didnt give them a chance. Yes I know their later records are an aquired taste. But you have no reason for not picking this up. I will say this might be my favorite LP of the 2000s. You may not agree and I dont care, It has been in constant rotation since I have gotten it. Great dudes in the band and this LP doesnt have one clunker on it. Tilburg riffs and Justice cover art?!? Solid solid shit.
