headcoatt from down under has got a great slab of wax for sale. I feel as though this piece of the Choke discography outshines his previous bands, Negative FX and his later band Slapshot by a lot (and Stars and Stripes). “Chunks” b/w “So End Our Night” is a 1, 2, punch and if you have the No Guts, No Glory Last Rights LP there are some other good bangers on there as well that could have made a real good E. There’s less than a day left on this piece of vinyl and the reserve is not yet met. Check It Out

So Ends Adolf’s Night.
We sent this one out earlier as some sort of “quick shot” on Twitter (whatever those are- they just started showing up one day. Must be a Murphy thing), but if you’re a collector this Last Rights Hitler sleeve from chuckecheese667 is definitely worth a longer look. The BIN is about 200 bucks less than what the last one of these we saw ended up at (it was Tre’s, and it ended at around $625), which actually makes this a bargain if you’ve been on the hunt for one. So knowing that, can’t see this staying up much longer.
Faux Hitler…
I’m not 100% what the deal with this Last Rights 7″ is. I’m inclined to think that its just a copy of the bootleg done by ‘God is the Devil Records’ on lime green vinyl in a photocopy of the Taang! Hitler sleeve. The reason I’m not sure is because ‘God is the Devil’ actually did a Hitler sleeve variant in their pressing, but it was limited to 60 copies and the vinyl was a green with color splatter. I guess maybe this was an extra Hitler sleeve they made after they ran out of the splatter vinyl.
Either way, its definitly a bootleg, but if you dont have an original 7″ or the reissue 12″ then its worth grabbing. These have sold in a range from $10 to well over $100 so I’m curious to see where this one ends. I guess it depends on what the bidders actually think it is.

Hitler Can Suck It
If you bid on this 7 inch, you are a real piece of shit. A fence walker at best, and a total Nazi scumbag loser at worst. I hate your guts. I hope you die. I hope you get hit by a bus. And I say all that not because of what’s on the cover, but because the Last Rights 7 inch is one of my most coveted records (like, legit top 5). Chunks and So Ends Our Night are two of my favorite BHC tracks ever. There are days when I wonder if I like those two songs more than Slapshot’s entire catalog. I want this ep in general; the fact that the Hitler sleeve is the rarest version of it just sweetens the pot. And yet there’s no way in blue hell that my current financial situation will allow me to justify paying Tre his reserve (it’s not even an outlandish one either). So instead, I’m gonna try and guilt everyone else out of bidding, in hope that the lack of interest/outrage let’s me con him into a deal. Back to work I go… That’s ADOLF HITLER people. It’s 2011, you can’t do shock value in punk rock anymore, that shit not pos! What are you people THINKING, bidding on this?!
Total fucking Dis-fuckers
I was reading some talk online this morning about Discharge — people were saying they were overrated, and that their wake of influence is better than their actual music — and my brain almost exploded. Free speech for the dumb, I suppose?
Here’s a fun example of how a couple of bands from complete opposite ends of the hardcore spectrum ape the ol’ Dis-sounds. Last Rights go the “Protest and Survive” route, while the Shit Lickers go for tuneless “Why”-esque bashing. Who’d have thunk that Boston’s most notorious sxe hardmen and some Swedish gutter drunks would be mining the same Stoke-On-Trent influences? It’s kind of like how Victim In Pain and Crucifix’s Dehumanization are essentially the same record (but no one realizes it).
the Choke discography…
solutionrecordsx has a bunch of CD lots up and a few LPs for sale.
This lot ends later today and its pretty cheap considering its 6 CDs. Currently for less than $2 a CD with about 13 hours to go you can pick up most of Jack ‘Choke’ Kellys finest work in hardcore.
1. Slapshot – “The CD” which is out of print and includes all the tracks from ‘Step On It’ & ‘Back on the Map’
2. Slapshot – “Old Tyme Hardcore” the Taang! version
3. Slapshot – “16 Valve Hate” the Lost & Found import version
4. Slapshot – “Greatest Hits, Slashes And Crosschecks” the original King Fisher import version which was released before the Bridge 9 version
5. Negative FX – “Self Titled” which also includes the 6 songs from the Last Rights recording session.
6. Stars And Stripes – “Shaved For Battle” this was only released on CD by Taang! (any ‘Patriot Records’ versions are bootlegs), but there was a jewel case & a digipack version. This looks to be the digipack.
Six great albums for one low price… get into it!
So Ends Our Night…
No better place to get a Last Rights 7″ then from Medford, MA!
Last Rights – Chunks/So Ends Our Night 7″ includes the extra front only sleeve and both the Taang! ad insert and the Taang! trade list insert. With the exception of a Hitler sleeve, it doesnt get better than this!
What ever we do…. We do as a crew!!
Last week we had a bootleg Last Rights 7″ coming out of Europe, but this week we have an original coming out of Wakefield, Massachusetts!
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again… this is my favorite hardcore record. I wont bore you with a long drawn out history about how it was suposed to be on XClaim, but I will make a request that if you currently own or know who owns the Last Rights acetates and/or a one of the 7″ test presses PLEASE sell them to me!
This one looks like its in great shape and its being sold by the original owner who was in an 80′s Boston hardcore band and sang backing vocals on ‘So Ends Our Night’.
Coca-Cola… We Don’t Drink No Booze… No Way!
Some interesting records coming out of Hamburg, Germany once again.
Its no secret that this is my favorite hardcore record of all time. I love everything about Last Rights. I think its amazing that they are still considered such a controversial band even though they played 1 show and recorded only 6 songs over 25 years ago!
The 2 song Last Rights 7″ that was eventually put out as Taang! Records #2 was originally suposed to be released as a 6 song EP by X-Claim Records. I’m not sure if X-Claim was coming to an end or if there was another reason that it was not released, but I know that the acetates from the recording studio say X-Claim on them.
This is a bootleg of the Last Rights ‘Chunks’ 7″ pressed by ‘God in the Devil Records’ on green vinyl with the standard live photo sleeve. I believe there are only 600 copies on green with this sleeve and then an additional 60 copies on green vinyl with a color splatter that come in a reproduction of the infamous ‘Hitler sleeve’.
This is a great way to get a copy of this a lot cheaper than buying an original copy. You can also pick up the 12″ discography that Reflex Records put out a couple of years back.
Coca-Cola… We Don’t Drink No Booze… NO WAY!
This is my favorite hardcore record of all time! Its only 2 songs, but it is true perfection in my opinion! This is a bootleg version, but at this point its tough to touch an original for under $100-$150 even in one of the ‘regular’ assorted live photo sleeves and a Hitler sleeve is easily $400+.
This is a bootleg from awhile back, put out by ‘God is the Devil Records’ I believe its from Italy. The majority of them were pressed on this lime green vinyl, but I have heard there are only 600. There is also a small number (I’ve heard 60) that were pressed on green vinyl with an assorted color splatter.
The original Taang! press of this 7″ comes in 7 different sleeves (not counting the different color paper or the back flaps) and were all on black vinyl (1000 copies & 2 test presses). There were only 6 knowns photos taken of Last Rights at the one show that they played. So when they pressed the 7″ they did 6 different sleeves using each live photo on 150 of the covers. For the last 100, Curtis wanted to do something special so he asked Choke to come up with something. Being the ‘button pusher’ that he is, Choke came up with the now infamous ‘Hitler sleeve’ and the majority of those were given away by the lable to other bands as they toured through Boston. I know the Misfits got them because the copy I have originally belonged to Danzig.
Anyway… enough with the history lesson! All the green vinyl copies of the bootleg come in the same live photo sleeve with the ‘Pre-Slapshot’ sticker on them. The splatter vinyl copies came in reprints of the ‘Hitler sleeve’.
Last Rights Chunks EP
So that Hitler sleeve was out of your price range, or you didn’t want it in your collection? That’s cool and understandable.
How about this one instead?
It just appears to have the one sleeve, which is odd since most seemed to have a second sleeve. You know the variations and colors schemes.
Sleeve has some wrinkles. Certainly not mint enough for Luis’s collection, but would probably look nice in yours. Would also look nice following that Last In Line ep as you flip through your collection. Sort of a show stopper.
we dont drink no booze!
slightly obscure piece of info on this record. The 2 song Chunks 7″ was originally going to be a 6 song 12″ on Xclaim records. There are 2 tests presses of the Taang! 7″, but there is also a set of 2 acetates from the recording studio that have all 6 songs on them and say Xclaim rather than Taang!
If you’re interested in this record you already know about it… 1000 pressed only 100 with this sleeve.
