Does anyone remember when Some Old Bullshit came out? I was 14 and had no idea the Beastie Boys used to be a punk band. My neighbor 3 doors down only listened to rap and knocked on my door one day holding a copy of the cd and gave it to me and said “this sounds like some freaky shit youd like”. I was SO stoked once I heard it. Egg Raid On Mojo rules.
A year after Some Old Bullshit came out, they released Algio E Olio which was a collection of new hardcore songs they wrote during Hello Nasty. This double 7″ version of the record that longfellow17 is selling is actually pretty awesome. Its an Australian release limited to 500 copies and its lathe cut. That means it wasnt pressed by a machine like most records, a dude (who I’ve talked to on the phone and he sounds like Peter Jackson) actually sat down and hand cut each record. They also arent on vinyl, theyre cut on the same material blank cds are made from.

One time I had a lathe cut double 7″ made and then never released it. Theyve been sitting in a box for several years awaiting study by top men.
