I know they are a very unpopular band in the ‘hardcore scene’ but I saw Slipknot a few times and they put on a great metal show. One time I saw them there was a 5 minute drum solo where the drum riser actually tipped forward so that the bass drums were facing down and then they started to spin and when they lit up the drum platform was a huge pentagram! It was like Motley Crue on crack!

I saw them once in Worcester and when they came back for an encore the bass player (The Pig) took out a knife and cut out all the heads from the 2nd drummers (The Clown) drums. The Clown retaliated by chasing The Pig around with wire cutters until he was able to cut a string from his bass while he played. That wasn’t enough for The Clown so he went backstage and cut all the strings from the bass’ in stands. Must have sucked to be the bass tech that night!
