Welfare Records out of Haverhill, MA has put out some pretty good music and some pretty interesting stuff!

This is a fine example of one of the more interesting things they’ve released. Lots of people collect records and never listen to them. There are probably some people that dont even have turntables yet they collect records. Well, this is something that I’ve sure that VERY few people had the ability to play after they bought it.

FUCKED UP – The Chemistry of Common Life was originally released on LP and CD by Matador Records, but Welfare kicked it up a notch and released it on a 4″ reel to reel tape. Its limited to only 75 pieces and even if you dont like the band its tough to deny that this is pretty cool! Welfare also released a Fucked Up 8 track tape, but I think the reel to reel is cooler!
