Little known fact, Paul from Righteous Jams? Used to be in A Poor Excuse.

Saw this band a ton of times in the few years they were around, yet I somehow never made the connection until long after Paul left RJs and moved back to the Cape. Maybe he just wasn’t in the band that long, or maybe it’s just because I spent most Poor Excuse sets keeping my eyes on McCarthy and the microphone he’d be swinging around his head in the middle of the room at full cord extension like the world’s longest flail.

Everyone from Boston knows Mike McCarthy. He has probably shed more blood for hardcore than anyone else in Boston and he has pictures to prove it!

Here we have two versions of the ‘Non-Compos Mentis Volume 1′ 7″ put out by FNS records which is run by Pat from Youth of Togay!

First is the record release/friends only version on black vinyl with a red sleeve. This one is from the record release show for the LP put out by Bridge 9 and there are only 35 stamped copies.

Second is the standard black & white sleeve with pink vinyl limited to 400.

Both records have low Buy It Now prices and are totally worth picking up!

This is a good record, but you really need to see FTW live to get the full effect of the band!
