I’m not entirely sure that this is a good fit for Metal Monday, but if I was ever going to post up this record then this seems like as good a time as any. theattaque is selling a few gems from the late 90s, one of which is Rev 70… ‘As Tradition Dies Slowly’ by Floridian metal powerhouse Morning Again. I was all over this band in the late 90s, as they were playing some heavy metallic hardcore (which I was into back then in moderation), but unlike a lot of bands doing this sound, these dudes seemed way more intelligent. They were straight edge and also quite political, which today seems almost like a contradiction. Whilst not exactly one of the classic records of the era, this album is a great example of the genre, and although I never really thought this band sat right on Revelation, I do love the front cover of this record and the matching vinyl color. 208 copies on light blue vinyl, and a necessity for anyone trying to build a complete Revelation collection.

Hand Of Hope And The Cleanest War
Growing up, I listened to what most people would call “bad” hardcore. Actually, not even sure most people would even call it hardcore. If you’ve heard Tree, Sam Black Church and Polyglot AND you think they are hardcore, raise your hand … That’s what I thought. My brother and I would hit up numerous gigs together. He went to college, got all straight edge and vegan. He got into harder, more metal stuff, and I got into youth crew. Strange how that all happened. While he was listening to Torn Apart and Turmoil, I was listening to Youth Of Today and Chain Of Strength. Of course, one of his favorites was always Morning Again. Maybe it was his Ithaca College education. Something about upstate unity, maybe. I never got it, but that’s cool. Not judging him. Maybe I should grab these LPs from xedgemetalx for him … He’d be stoked, I bet.
Morning Again Test Press
Our good friend xchipxsem is buying a house and selling a ton of stuff. A ton of great stuff. Make sure to check that link. But hopefully, hopefully he has spotted this auction. And if his wife is a very nice lady, she won’t notice when he sends some loot to vegandeathsqad for the Morning Again test press. Now, I never got into Morning Again, but I’m sure Chip is a fan. Pretty damn sure, that is. And oddly, it’s another Immigrant Sun test press. We don’t see a lot of these albums here or anywhere. Keep back, this one is for Chip.
