We’ve got a trio of records here being auctioned by hardcorex74 that I must confess to having slacked on posting up- there’s only a day or two left on em, and all three are already getting pricey. This is what I get for being a busy adult instead of an idle teen…

Necros – Sex Drive for Touch & Go Tuesday?
Im dubbing this Touch and Go Tuesday. And to kicked it of here is one of the rarest and most sought after hardcore records. rickyball has available here a Sex Drive 7″. Only 100 of these were made in 1981 on Touch and Go. It never comes up for sale and nowadays hits the low to mid 4 figures when it does. The record itself actually sucks and is barely listenable, but theres only 100 of them so who cares its rare right? If this goes for under $2000 ill be surprised.
Touch And Go (And Dischord)
Some more heavy hitters from pterosonus. These are some classic records from Touch And Go Records. You know you can’t go wrong with the Negative Approach EP. First press, black ink labels, limited to 1000. Very hot. Check Kyle’s seekingthesimple for more relevant pics (he is also selling vinyl now too, check his list).
And then there is the Necros EP. This was a split release on Touch And Go and Dischord Records. Imagine having both the labels on your dust sleeve. I can’t even imagine what the modern day equivalent would be. Maybe Schism / … for the 80s? I don’t think it can be done. I.Q. 32. Pretty sure this one is first press, green labels and all. Get into it.
Black and white unite
A nice little group of B&W hits here from Belgium’s state-children.
Deep Wound’s eponymous 7″ holds a special place in my heart, as half of the band was from my town and the cover shot was taken a couple of blocks from where I grew up (and the music fucking rages too, duh). The rest of these records ain’t no slouches either, I just don’t get the rush from them anymore that I still get when I hear the bass line to “I Saw It” kick in.
Poison Idea/Necros.
The last time I posted about these two records, Cooch and I went back and forth over whether or not I was picking on the seller. Well, I have nothing to pick on state-children for, because he does everything I like. Clear pictures, low starts, etc. All the stuff that, to me, makes for well done, and from the looks of things, deservedly successful auctions.
Necros.
Another pair from xundergroundx…
It sort of cracks me up that the only pressing info he mentions is that the IQ32 isn’t the Skate Park press, since anyone who knows what that press is will recognize this as not only not being a Skate Park press, but not even being first press to begin with. No idea what he’s thinking this time out; I’m pretty sure we’ve had stuff up before from this seller that weren’t half as… I don’t want to say sketchy, so let’s go with “off”… half as off as this last string of auctions has been.
More Jeff Nelson…
Another batch of treats from Jeff Nelson, this time of the paper goods variety. I know I’ve said it before, but it’s amazing the amount of stuff this guy hung on to, and how detailed his notes are about everything he sells. Also, everything is typically in perfect shape — I’ve bought copies of both of these flyers from him and they were in absolutely flawless condition.
This show is pretty legendary, I know there are bootlegs of both the Minor Threat and SSD sets kicking around on vinyl (the SSD one looks like a 7″ sized Kids Will Have Their Say and has great stage banter) and I’m pretty sure the insert pics from Out of Step were taken at this show.
OK, I gotta admit that as big of a Pushead fan that I am, his early work is pretty hit or miss and this one definitely falls more to the miss side (though a humorous miss). Killer lineup though.
Expensive Thanksgiving BIN’s.
Admittedly, record collecting is more Cooch’s bag than mine, so he’d really be the one to judge whether or not these BIN’s from recordgraveyard are fair and reasonable based on past sales prices or not. But I’m not gonna go bothering a family man on a family holiday…
What little research I have done over on Popsike shows that all of these records have sold in the range of their BIN’s in the past, but none of them have done so recently enough for me to come down firmly on the side of “reasonably priced”. In fact, again judging from Popsike, it looks like he’s been basing all his prices on what these records sold for in 2008. And yet somehow, today I’m ok with that. Maybe that’s just the pie talking.
NECROS x 2
I went to the Tesco Vee book reading/Q&A session in Providence this past Saturday. The friend I planned on going with couldnt make it so I almost didnt go, but decided to make the drive at the last minute and I’m REALLY glad I did. He had a slideshow of pictures (mostly from the book) and talked about the zine for over an hour then took questions and told stories about his fights with Ian McKaye (they are friends again), Henry Rollins (they are still not really friends) & Glenn Danzig (he said Glenn turned into an asshole in 1985). After the talk he sold & signed books and I picked up a copy of ‘Why Be Something That You’re Not’ and a copy of the Touch & Go collection which I got signed by Tesco & John Brannon who was also there! Very cool day and it got me even more interested in rediscovering some of the old Touch and Go stuff.
I wont be starting a collection anytime soon, but the music is really fucking great! Heres a couple of different presses of the 2nd 7″ from the Necros
state-children has a copy with green labels and the lyric sheet and t-shirt flyer are included!

madtownrecords has a copy with white labels and no inserts.

Buy Low, Sell High?
A few more from Vegas resident lionhearted75, and he must have lost a bundle at the craps tables or something, because he’s got a lot of high ticket items, saddled with high start prices. I figure he’s using the same thought process as with his YDL and Trip 6 demos, and is trying to simply make sure he gets back what he put in (as further evidence of this, the Bertmer print he’s selling initially sold for $75, which is his start price).
I get the logic, yet I can’t stop myself from saying it,… a low start price and a reserve are probably a better gamble.
$$$ex Drive
Seller creeper_ohio is opening up the heavy artillery on the ‘bay…
It’s kinda crazy this record has come up twice this year, considering there are only 100 copies out there. This one’s nice too, complete with insert and looking VERY crisp in condition. So either get that credit card ready, or just sit back with some popcorn and watch the action unfold.
Dirty Tony’s Dirty Auctions.
Seller drtytony has a lot of auctions ending over the weekend, and while the start bids are higher than I’d like, several of them are lots, so it’s actually worth checking out.
He also has some high priced items that actually have bids, namely a stickerless first press of Damaged, and Poison Idea’s Pick Your King…
The $75 Necros Conquest For Death record, however, remains unbid on.

I heard that last week at Tesco Vee’s Hate Police were playing somewhere in New York and Steve from The Fix was there and the Hate Police did Fix songs with him singing. Also heard it was one of the hardest things ever and that if you missed it you suck royal balls from shitdom, but Paul Bearer said that.
These records dont have anything to do with that, but they are bands that are just as classic as the Fix or the Meatmen!
bobbisue1 brings the goods!
Negative Approach and Necros and Crossed Out and…
Seller djprana2003 has had some awesome stuff up for nearly a week, yet somehow we’ve slept on all of it. What’s up with that? How do we miss a guy selling stuff like this:
Sure, we’ve had first presses of this up before. But to me, it never gets old, and you know there’s always somebody looking for one.
Or what about this?
Before anyone mentions it, yes, that IS a first press label with a third press insert, and while that may seem fishy, according to the comments here, that type of mismatch is relatively common. The Sex Drive he has up is a boot, however.
And what about these?
I could keep going. And that’s not even mentioning the Oasis and Ice Cube records…
My excuse for slacking? Hardcore Fests. They really do screw up your concept of time and reality.
TOUCH & GO
1981 Touch and Go Records 7″ comp ep. First pressing with grey labels and red letters. limited to 500.
Necros- “Bad Dream”
Meatmen- “Meatmen Stomp”

Toxic Reasons-”Riot Squad”
Violent Apathy- “I can’t Take It
McDonalds- “Minature Golf”
The Fix- “No Idols”
This is Touch and Go #4 and includes the original lyric flyer and photo flyer of all the bands. This copy is in near mint condition.
After you bid on that record you can send $29.95 (postage paid in the US) to Tesco Vee and get a signed copy of ‘TOUCH AND GO THE COMPLETE HARDCORE PUNK FANZINE 1979-1983′ Pay Pal to greatgarloo1@comcast.net or get ahold of him on Facebook.
