Cool copy of Nervous Breakdown here courtesy of recordmecca. I could do without all the big-shot record dealer hoopla, but you really don’t see to many copies of this record turning up with the original folded baggie and sticker. Cool that it has the original price tag too.

westwoodonebob is selling what I consider to be possibly the 2nd most important record in punk rock. I chose to put up a picture of the back of the sleeve because I love the artwork of the 5 girls lined up. Has there ever been a shirt of that? I want a shirt of just the girls, that would rule!

The seller says that this is being sold out of a collection that a tenant that owed him rent left in an apartment. I think hes gonna make out on this sale!

Perhaps you already have a 1st press sleeve and you just need the vinyl? Unlikely, but heres just the 7″ incase!

Only dicks don’t like Black Flag!

Remember that old Kill Your Idols shirt that said ‘Only Dicks Dont Like Black Flag’? That was a great shirt! Yeah… so anyway…. lisa_honey is selling a really good looking copy of what she says is a 2nd press Nervous Breakdown 7″. I will be honest and say that I dont know enough about the old SST stuff off the top of my head to confirm that it is a 2nd press, all I can say for sure is I know its not a first press, but if you looked at the picture for a second, you know its not a first press too!

Amazing record! Much like the Negative Approach and Pay to Cum records I’m holding out for a 1st press, but realisitcly I know I’ll never have one unless I win the lottery or something. I do have a copy of this, I think its a blue & white sleeve and the dust jacket is signed by Greg Ginn which is kinda cool.

When I first spotted sk82dth’s copy of Black Flag’s Nervous Breakdown, it had just gone up and had a mere 9.99 starting bid. That was late Sunday night, bordering on early Monday morning. I bookmarked it, and when I went back Monday evening to prep a post of it for you, the Vinyl Noize reader, I discovered something:

From 9.99 to over 100 bucks in 24 hours. I know this is a big ticket item, but that happened fast. Meanwhile, the copy of Six Pack I posted on Thanksgiving sits unbid upon at $14.99.

A handful of auctions went up from xnixonbreakdownx last night, and while the numbers are few, the quality is pretty outstanding. Case in point: first press of Black Flag’s Nervous Breakdown, and a promo of the TV Party single on Unicorn Records, complete with DJ sheet.

I started reading the ‘Touch & Go’ book yesterday and one of the reviews they did was of this 7″ and this is what it said….

When your needle touches down on this record prepare to have all those tidy little notions regarding the hard-core fringe thoroughly obliterated. Just when we’re beginning to feel certain that we have reached the outter most boundries of the slam-bam, we-don’t-give-a-fuck genre; someone comes along to squelch that security with a swift kick in the balls. Sure to yank anyone out of their Magazine/Siouxie and the Banshees/Wire stupor. With their singer suffering from terminal dementia-constantly hovering over the dangerous level, these guys sink their bared teeth into our flesh and bite off huge chunks only to spit the half-chewed gristle right back in our faces. Not for the squeemish. Although not available in these parts this record can be had by sending $2.00 c/o SST Records, P.O. Box 1, Lawndale, CA 90260.

selectroburner has his priced a little higher than Dave Stimson mentions in the review, but its still worth it!

It looks as though robase has apparently ditched DJ E-Z Rock and hip hop completley in favor of dealing in rare highend hardcore records. Its like the Fresh Prince ditching Jazzy Jeff all over again!

Hugely important early hardcore/punk record. Sounds like its in great shape except for a small split on the fold of the sleeve. Its records like this that make me wish I was a multi-millionaire so that I could just click ‘buy it now’ without thinking at all!

BLACK FLAG – More Star Wars!

After posting that lame Star Wars post I wanted to serve up a serious addition and the first thing I checked was Black Flag. Voila, a nice copy of a 1st press Nervous Breakdown, but wait. What’s this? The sellers name is darth_cita? Darth Maul, darth_cita? I am beginning to see a trend here. I don’t make this shit up dudes, sometimes I’m just that tuned into what is happening on eBay.

I gotta go put my footie pajamas on and hit my bunk bed for some well deserved z’s.
