Ooooffffff, Not a Test Press

Where do people come up with their info?

Jeesh.

At vinylnoize, we at least ATTEMPT to give out facts before posting some shit on the internet for the world to see.

This seller? Not really good at the fact finding.

What you see here is a Ten Yard Fight EP on Big Wheel Records, blue vinyl. It doesn’t have a sleeve.

That is all. Nothing more, nothing less. It’s just minus a sleeve. Oh sure, someone got cute and wrote Boston XXX on it, but hell, it could have been anyone. Maybe it was Lacroix. Maybe it was AP. Maybe it was the seller. Who knows.

What we do KNOW however, is that it is NOT a test press. I should know. I own a Ten Yard Fight Big Wheel Records EP test press, and it definitely isn’t on blue vinyl with a real label.

* shout outs to Dobek (that FOOL!) for pointing this auction out to me. One love.

A-TEAM – Clusterf#ck tour 7″

The first (and some say best) release on my stupid record label, presented here with alternate “Harshing Mellows Across America” tour sleeve and extra test press sleeve. I really wish he put the front cover of the record in the picture, so everyone could see Jon Clark passed out drunk in a puddle of his own technicolor yawn.

Items of note:
• Tour sleeve design by Dick Ded, aka Good Old Rich Perusi
• Smut Peddlers lyrics written on dust sleeve (shout out to Stab & Kill Recs)
• Moishe stamp peeking out from inside the sleeve (the offer still stands—send Painkiller cool stamps and we’ll send you free records)
• “You’ve Been Clowned” stamp that we used to stamp on black vinyl records and send to people we didn’t like in lieu of colored vinyl
• Original “heroin needle” PKR logo on labels, never to be used again per orders of AJ Maguire
• Secondary “Together comp stars” logo on sleeve, retired after release #3
• The sloppiest fun bags this side of California

I call Bullshit

I hate shady shit.

The seller lists this item with a $30 Buy It Now.

Bane 7″ grn sXe Converge Have Heart Verse test press?

If you really thought it was a bane test press, would you set such a low Buy It Now price? No, I don’t think so. Seriously, give me a break. Quit trying to trick kids into buying your record based on assumptions you obviously know are not true.

As for this EP, it was released in 98 or 99 by The Life Recording Co (Dalbec’s label). It is a 4th press that was limited to 400 (I think). 100 of the records were stamped, the rest were not. The green vinyl varies a lot too. Some green is a super dark, while others is super light. I haven’t seen any translucent ones, but I wouldn’t doubt that some exist.
