In Cold Blood – Hell On Earth LP – White Vinyl

A year after the last Melnick bros. last proper release through Integrity, a full length release by In Cold Blood surfaced through on Victory Records in 1998. Not too far of a stretch from the Melnick bros. Integrity material they met up with a few others including, Blaze from OLC and frontman Jason Popson to release a great LP’s worth of material. Jason Popson is better known as the singer of Mushroomhead but this material, needless to say is quite a bit different than his nu-metal outfit. There was definitely something in the water in Cleveland, because alongside Ringworm, Integrity and OLC, there were some pretty great heavy material coming out of their neck of the woods, and that’s not too mention any of the punkier stuff. earwax666hotmail has got the In Cold Blood – Hell On Earth LP on White Vinyl up for auction. If I just hadn’t picked up some more expensive records recently, this would be on my watch list and I would be trying to win it.

OLC/PB2k + Empire Falls.

Why yes, I AM posting these OLC/Pitboss 2000 splits with Empire Falls being auctioned off by xsheerxterrorx just for the sheer pleasure of watching some of our commentators lose their minds. I’m a real jerk like that.

Say what you want, but Necessary Vengeance is one hard jam.

I’m ashamed to admit it, but I had that PB2K/EF split in college. Never even listened to the EF side once, I was strictly about the “humor”. Needless to say, said “humor” did not age well. It probably wasn’t even that funny then, honestly, seeing as most of the 90s trends they were making fun of (Spock hair, big pants, knee jerk PCness, Krishnas at shows, etc) were almost died out, at least in Boston.

Necessary Test Press Thursday Vengeance

Do people still like One Life Crew? It seems the LP on green vinyl jumps around in prices, but the tshirts sit on ebay and relist and relist and relist. This particular test press is a split with Empire Falls that was released in 2004 by Prophecy Records. I wasn’t even aware that it existed. Shows how much I know. But aapjekoala has one of the THREE test presses. Yes, just 3. If you are still down with OLC or Empire Falls, this could be a good one for you.

Clevo Clan Runs The Land…

Ok, so maybe not as much as it arguably once did for a time in the 90s (though I’m sure there still are good bands there, and someone should probably tell me some to check out). But xxxevilxxx666 is selling 3 records from 3 of Cleveland’s best. Though of course, that partly depends on how you feel about One Life Crew…

It’s a slow week, I wanted to open a can of worms. Sue me.

Green… Like A Golf Course?

One last posting from the delapasion collection for today, but I’ll tell ya, I’ve only shown the tip of the iceberg here…

This is one I wouldn’t be surprised to hear is getting a lot of play in Arizona right now…

Right wing politics of the first song aside though, great record all the way through. Starts with a classic intro and ends with a classic Confront cover. Not a weak track on it. Shame they decided to amp up the shock value once the controversy exploded; 13 years later and American Justice is nigh unlistenable. The music is still pretty hard (especially the Prohibition 2000 songs), but the dumb skits, asinine quotes, and over reliance on “___ario” kill it dead in the water… “Straight Edge is all about golf”, wtf was that all about?

Shy Town vs The Big Apple

a couple of BINs for some rare hardcore CDs.

first up is a pair of One Life Crew CDs. You get the ‘controversial’ 1996 Victory Records debut ‘Crime Ridden Society’ and the often hated follow up from 1998 ‘American Justice’ on Too Damn Hype Records. I know its not the popular opinion, but I like the 2nd record better. Its just hysterical… in fact, I think I’m gonna listen to it right now!

Second is the 1994 Another Planet re-issue of ‘Murphys Law’ and ‘Back with a Bong’ on one CD in a cool Digipack. This was part of a series of reissues Another Planet did taking two classic hardcore records from one band and putting them on one disc with new packaging and liner notes. They did Cro-Mags, The Mob, Murphy’s Law, Warzone & Leeway… not sure if there were any others. This is actually the only Murphy’s Law CD I dont have… maybe someday!

WE GOTTA HOLD HANDS!!

I’m not afraid to admit that I like OLC…. I am a little afraid to admit that I like the “American Justice” record better than this one though. I know that “Crime Ridden Society” is better musically, but there are SO many laughs on “American Justice”…. How can you not love “Thats right motherfuckers we gotta have DIY shows, passing out flyers, veganism, positive! I’m talking about packing lunches, holding hands, sharing backpacks, putting powder on our lips in the bathroom, unity man!”

Anyway… this is One Life Crew ‘Crime Ridden Society’ on green vinyl. Pressing is either of 300 or 500, I’m not sure. There are some that are a darker see through green and then theres this lighter opaque green.
